Imiq was the 188th avatar and the 48th water avatar, she was considered as one of the worst avatars in history, except in the fifth nation where she is honored as the organization's founder.
But she wasn't as bad as Avatar Gun (the 192nd avatar and the 49th water avatar), which was considered to be the worst avatar of all time.
History[]
Early Life and battles against dark spirits[]
She was born to an era of international peace across the four nations, as the daughter of Chief Aktok and his wife, as a princess of the northern water tribe, her era was peaceful at least until 912 BG when she was identified as the avatar at the age of 16, dark spirits began to go all over the physical world, whom she fought, dark spirit after dark spirit, similar to Avatar Kuruk (the 196th avatar and the 50th water avatar).
Death of the 34th governor of Gaoling, and Imiq's final moments and death.[]
In 901 BG, the 34th governor of Gaoling was diagnosed with pentapox, Avatar Imiq tried her best to heal him, but she failed, and he eventually died in 900 BG a year later, she also failed to prevent a tsunami at Ha'an, similar to Gun, which led to her father, Chief Aktok, forbidding women from learning waterbending in the northern water tribe from then on until after the end of the Hundred Years War, starting from 899 BG. The throne for Gaoling was then passed to the tyrannical 35th governor of Gaoling which would oppress the people of Gaoling for the next 39 years until Avatar Jian stepped in and defeated him, restoring balance to the city, she tired to stop the tyranny of the 35th governor of Gaoling, but she could only weaken his power, she eventually died at age 34 in 894 BG, and was reincarnated into Avatar Jian of Gaoling, the 35th governor of Gaoling resumed his tyranny but this time with much greater power, ruling the city with an iron fist.
In 899 BG, she founded the fifth nation, already being an experienced sailor before she founded the fifth nation, having become an experienced sailor around 902 BG, she then became the first leader of the fifth nation, eventually being succeeded by her daughter Inaq after her death in 894 BG.
Also in 895 BG, she attended the coronation of her older brother as the next chief of the northern water tribe after the death of Chief Aktok.

Avatar Imiq only appeared in "The Legend of Korra" when Korra saw visions of all the avatars at the end of Book 1: Air before she got her bending restored by Aang.
