Hydrus is an eel colossi that was supposed to fight Katara. She is an official colossi but is oddly considers Illuminus's pet in a sense of the word, since she was taking commands from Illuminus the whole time Katara was around.
She first appears swimming right in front of Katara when she reaches the shore of relic lake. When Katara starts fighting Hydrus immediately swims strait down, but got shot up by Katara's water bending. The fight goes on for a while until Illuminus appears and calls her back as he asks Katara her reasons. But after that Hydrus charges again and whacks her with her tail, looking like she won when knocking Katara into a shore side cave. But suddenly Hydrus began losing the fight and dies when she was being tossed around in a whirlpool and eventually launched at Illuminus, cracking her spine as a result when stabbing the giant with get dorsal fins. Her chakra orb was lost soon after.
