Honora was a princess of the Fire Nation and a member of the Fire Nation Royal Family, the daughter of Fire Lord Zuko and Mai. She was born in 117 AG in the Fire Nation Royal Palace. Though being apart of the royal family, she did not have bending abilities. In 136 AG, she started to date Bumi. However, things were rocky as they lived in different places, and the two broke up officially in 150 AG. She left to be a professor and travel to the Si Wong Desert to study the life of the Si Wong tribes, who lived in the desert. She had her daughter, Zahra, in 150 AG.
She later went on a mission with Team Avatar, Bumi, Kya, Tenzin, Jinora, Zahra and Iroh to retrieve the missing scroll from Wan Shi Tong's Library in 177 AG, where she later passed away.
History[]
Honora was born to Fire Lord Zuko and Fire Lady Mai in 117 AG in the Fire Nation. She wasn't a planned child for the family, but loved her anyways. Growing up, she did not show bending abilities such like her older sister. Unlike her sister, Honora was more outgoing and social. Honora spent more time with her mother than father. In 136 AG, she visited Republic City and met Bumi. The two started to date, however the relationship was hard due to the two living in different places. Honora began to read the old adventures of Team Avatar. She was invested in their adventure in the Si Wong Desert and meeting the tribes. She had always felt that she was out of place and wanted to travel the world. Bumi and Honora had been dating for 14 years, but hadn’t seen each other in person for 3 years. The two officially ended things in person.
Later that year, she bid her family and friends goodbye as she traveled to the Si Wong Desert. There, she stayed with Hami Tribe and learnt all about their cultures and traditions. However, Honora learnt that she was pregnant. She knew the child could only be Bumi’s. She decided not to tell him, in fear that he would have to quit his job in the United Forces. She gave birth to Zahra in the summer of 150 AG.
In 152 AG, she and the Hami Tribe moved to the heart of the Desert to make a mini-village, Gu Tong. The reason was so they could settle down, and be away from most tribes and people, who wouldn’t dare travel to the middle. Her daughter later came out as Bisexual, and Honora was happy for her. Following Harmonic Convergence, Zahra gained Airbending, though she advised Zahra not to tell anyone. Honora was later elected the leader of the small village.
Later in 177 AG, while Team Avatar alongside the others were fighting with the Hami Tribe, Honora stopped them. Bumi explained who she was, and ran up to her and kissed her. They explained that they needed to find a lost scroll from Wong Shi Tong's library to aid them with a foe. Honora agreed, as she knew the desert better than anyone. While on their journey, Honora sacrificed herself to find the scroll. She admitted breaking up with Bumi was horrible, and wished she could have taken it all back. She also begged Bumi to take care of Zahra and her twins.
Personality[]
Honora was a smart women. She was also close to her older sister, Izumi and her nephew Iroh. After meeting Bumi, she became more wild and free-spirited. She also became more daring in the face of danger.
Abilities[]
Honora is not that great at fighting. She does not possess any bending abilities and never focused on martial arts or weapons. She did practice Chi-blocking for a short amount of time, however dropped it afterwards.
