Gedun was the 187th avatar and the 48th air avatar, his era was peaceful.
History[]
Avatar Gedun was born and raised in the southern air temple, like most male airbending avatars, into an era of peace and prosperity. He was identified as the avatar at age 16, like most avatars in 980 BG, then he set out to become a fully-realized avatar, whom he completed in 960 BG at age 20. He eventually, peacefully died at his home in the southern air temple in 928 BG and was reincarinated into Avatar Imiq of the northern water tribe.
Appearance in the animated series[]
Avatar Gedun only appeared in Avatar: The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra only when aang or korra saw visions of all the avatars.
