Fen Muchang is a war veteran and farmer who owns a farm outside the village of Yafao in Duryaja. Fen is a minor character in the fanon Avatar: Civil Strife.
History[]
Fen was conscripted into the military at the age of sixteen where he served for twenty years until he retired at the age of thirty-three. The highest rank he received was the captain rank. Fen was injured in the last battle he fought in which left his leg severly injured this forced him to retire. Leading to Fen wearing a leather brace that helps him walk around throughout the day.
At the age of thirty-four he and his new wife had a son they named Zuqiu, to prepare his son for war he trained him in the way of the dao sword and even made sure the boy could shoot pests from a distance to help acquire sniping skills. With an injured leg he often needed the assistance of his son and eventually paid Zuqiu for his work even though his son slacked off. When the soldiers arrived Fen stepped foward only to be light pushed away by his son which made him proud of the moment.
Military Service[]
Fen enlisted and served in the Duryaja province eventually joining the Duryajian Provincial Guard in Suzhou City. After his years of service, he was promoted to Captain of the PG. Defending the city once from an attack by the Oma Kingdom left Fen injured resulting in permanently limping and wearing a leg brace.
After he was forced to retire he moved to a small town in Duryaja province called Yafao. He bought land in Yafao and spends the rest of his days as a farmer. Where he fell in love with a woman and had a son named Zuqiu, who later volunteered to take his father's place in the war.

Abilities[]
Like his son, Fen was born a non-bender, Fen is knowledgeable in the ways of archery and swordsmanship. Fen is also a farmer with knowledge how to work the fields, care for livestock, and sell his goods.
