Neutral Spirit Emblem
By King Bumis Heir Part of the Avatar: The Legacy of Rong Yan continuity.

Earth Kingsmen pantheon are minor characters that are never physically seen in the fanon Avatar: The Legacy of Rong Yan. The pantheon consists of seven gods and the chief deity, Yun, Yama, Qin, Shouhu-gui, Ts'ai Shen, Shanshen, the current ruling monarch of both kingdoms, and Tiandi. They are the gods the Earth Kingdoms pray to for things, and each one has control over something that is part of the modern Kingsmen culture.

History[]

Origins[]

They are all to be considered children of Tiandi, Yun is the Kingsmen version of Tiandi's wife Nugua. These two deities gave birth to all others except Shouhu-gui who is an offspring of the Lion Turtle Jianhuren.

In modern times, both Kingdoms adopt each other's deities and make a new pantheon, a thousand years before, the Haijun and Oma Kingdoms, shared Tiandi as the chief deity but have had their own separate deities.

Qin[]

Qin was the first Earth Emperor long before the establishment of the Earth Kingdom, he ruled the first Earth Emperor, as their only true emperor. Upon his death Qin was celebrated and ascended into godhood. Where he was labeled as the God of Justice, after his death the Empire fell apart and split into three kingdoms, the Shang, Xia, and Zhou Kingdoms.

He's often depicted similar to Tiandi but with long hair in a top knot and a shorter beard.

Shanshen[]

The god of earth, the Kingsmen since the beginning of time believed they live on Shanshen as they called him. Shanshen allowed the lion turtle Shouhu-gui to give the creation of Tiandi and Yun the power to manipulate his body. Giving the indication that Shanshen is alive and is the very planet every living thing walks on.

Shouhu-gui[]

Shouhu-gui is the lion turtle of earth from Avatar Wan's lifetime, worshipped by the first Earth tribes and later adopted by the sandbender tribe of Gaxun in the Si Wong province. There are other texts found in Si Wong that have said Shouhu-gui is the offspring of Jianhuren and Shanshen.

Ts'ai Shen[]

Ts'ai Shen ascended to godhood from an ancient child's folktale of a craftsman with godly abilities from the Oma Kingdom's Hao Dynasty (2400 BG+). He was gifted a hammer from Shanshen that allowed him to work any metal on Shanshen's body.

Today he's worshipped and revered as the god of craftsmen and metalworkers, often depicted as a burly man with an anvil.

Yama[]

Yama is the god of death, the Kingsmen version of the Aspect of Darkness, Bei'an, who's sole purpose is to transport the dead to realm of the dead. A pocket of the Spirit World where the dead cannot leave for they are in a positive eternal state of bliss.

Yun[]

The Kingsmen version of the Mother Goddess, the wife of Tiandi, she is the goddess of love, fertility, and babies. New mothers pray to Yun to bless their pregnancies with healthy babies and for safe delivery. She depicted as a chubby woman, her statues were carved very early in Kingsmen civilization. The depiction was accurate to how women's bodies ended up after giving birth.

Current Monarch[]

The Kingsmen viewed their ruling monarchs as living gods and the more traditional citizens prayed to their monarchs for assistance. This is often practiced in the Qiangda Kingdom rather than the Oma Kingdom. As the Qiangdian Earth King is seen as a god.
