Dimian is a minor character in the fanon, Avatar: The Legacy of Rong Yan. Dimian is the team captain for Terra Team #3.
History[]
Laobing's grandson was slain by General Senlin when the royal captain attempted to capture the criminal along with a bounty hunter named Shang Jin. Both men failed with Wei being killed and Shang Jin escaping injured. Laobing requested from Qiang Zhen a team of elite soldiers to capture Senlin, when approved he was given command over Terra Team #3. Which consisted of five men one of the men being the captain named Dimian.
Dimian, Laobing, and the rest of the Terra Team set off to investigate and find all the locations where Senlin had set foot to find clues and where he's going next. With permission from the governors of specific provinces, they've scoured to find the criminal. Each time being taken to a different state, their investigation stopped in Wuyi province.
The rookie Shing failed to conduct himself in a professional manner and leered at the governor of Wuyi. Scolded by his team members it convinced the woman to allow him to lay with her, his performance persuaded Cha Lundu to aid in locating Senlin within the Full Moon Bay which was run by the Fifth Nation that she has permitted to exist in Dahongpao. Their trail ended when they found out that Senlin could've returned to the Qiangda Kingdom in Bu'Keng in the Gongzhu province or fled to the Aupaluk in the Northern Water Tribe. They refused to go to the North Pole over the growing tensions between the Northern Water Tribe and the Qiangda Kingdom which sparked another war.
Battle for Shouchun[]
Three years later, Dimian and his Terra Team were sent to persuade Governor Zhuan Gongyi to secede from the Oma Kingdom and join the Qiangda Kingdom again. Such a move would've reestablished a foothold the Qiangda Kingdom would have near Omashu province. However, the old governor was easily convinced he knew what he had and wasn't going to be threatened to secede from the Oma Kingdom. If they failed to convince him they would've assassinated him and his heir and Dimian would take hold of Chu as the interim-governor until Qiang Zhen elected one.
He expected a small number invasion but was evacuated with his family to his secret bunker. Dimian and the team searched the siheyuan of the governor and found no one but a few estate guards that were either incapacitated or killed. Eventually, finding the bunker within the sewers they were confronted by twenty estate guards in front of the bunker.
Dimian and the Team killed all the guards and he ordered Shing to destroy the bunker door, so they could drag out Zhuan Gongyi. The old governor was handed a hand cannon by his son, the firearm was found in some crates where blasting jelly and pellets were found. The old man was surrounded by ten of his guards inside as he waited to defend his family.
When the door had a hole in it Senlin appeared to prevent Dimian and his men from getting inside the bunker. When Shing finally broke down the door he was met with a spray of cast iron pellets that instantly killed him. Which triggered the fury inside Dimian and the other members of the team. Each slowly falling one by one in battle to Senlin and the estate guards in the bunker. It was discovered that few of the Terra Team members could bend the cast iron pellets and Dimian prevented the death of Qiji on the first attempt as he ceased the trajectory of the pellets. In the end, Dimian met his fate and was shot in the chest with the hand cannon by Gongyi.
Abilities[]
Dimian was born an earthbender, he mastered his element in the military where he was eventually taught to bend soft metals and cast iron which proved to be a bit more difficult. Mostly the Council of Five, the Qiangdian Royal Guards, Qiangdian Provincial Guards and the Terra Team are known to be able to bend impure metals.
