Denryoku, (pronounced Dehn-REE-O-koo) was Avatar Hikar Firestone's only cousin. Born and raised in Yetai Tong in the Earth Republic of Daiya at the west of the Earth Confederacy, where he grew up with his mother Shera, as well as his cousins, Hikar and Kensi, and his friend Bultina. He died in a tragic car accident at some time in the middle of 244 AG, after the Order of the White Lotus visited Hikar's house.

Physical appearance[]

Denryoku was a tall kid for his age, with distinctive silver eyes of such a light tone it almost looked like he had no irises. He had messy hair that reached his shoulders, something Hikar might have copied into his hair style, and a tanned skin tone typical of Earth Kingdom ethnicity. Despite his nationality, he usually tended to avoid green colors for his clothes and wear more gray on him instead.

History[]

Childhood and death[]

Denryoku used to spend a lot of time with his cousins Hikar and Kensi, which whom he considered his closest friends, alongside Bultina. He lived alone with his single mother, and grew up to like a lot technology and informatics. By the year 244 AG, the Order of the White Lotus came to his house as well as his cousin's and Bultina to verify if any of them was the new Avatar.

Months later, Denryoku and his mother suffered a tragic car accident that took away both of their lives.

Legacy[]

Denryoku became an emotional weight that Hikar carried on for the rest of his life, and was mourned for years by his family and friends, showacasing how much of an impact Denryoku had made on them.

Personality[]

Denryoku was a snarky smart kid who seemed to always be playful, but smart in some ways for a kid his age. He had a clear vission of who he wanted to be, whether he was the Avatar or not, and in a way, he served as a role model to Hikar.

  • Hikar Firestone: As cousins, they respected each other, and Hikar always saw him as a role model in terms of how smart he was, and tried to be like him. When Denryoku died, it pulled a big emotional toll on Hikar that afected him till this day, but in a way helped him realize who he was as a person.
  • Kensi Firestone: They didn't share many moments alone, since Denryoku never showed that much of interest in him, but they seemed to have in common that they loved teasing Hikar.
  • Vona & Sterkur Firestone : His aunt and uncle who he seemed to have a good relationship with. When Denryoku died, Vona cried and fell toher knees while Sterkur try¡ied to console her.
  • Shera: His mother, the one he seemed to care for the most, and died alongside him in the same accident.

Allies[]

  • Bultina Silverfox: They were good friends in the past, and enjoyed teasing Hikar together as their best friends. That was until he unfortunately died in a car accident.
  • Nikumi: Seems they had a chill relationship. But ultimately Nikumi didn't show much importance on the matter when his death came.

Trivia[]

  • His name means "electric power" in Japanese.
  • He's the third known cousin relative of an Avatar in the franchise, next to Desna and Eska.
  • Although he's not a Silverfox, his hair shows slight ginger color tins, a rare trait only shown in the Silverfox bloodline.
  • His character is the one who's suffered the most changes in the concept and role, originally designed to exist as a teenager, but later turned into a motivational role model that Hikar loses too soon in his life. He in a way, according to Parker, plays a role to Hikar like Uncle Ben was to Spider-man.
