Neutral Spirit Emblem
By King Bumis Heir Part of the Avatar: Civil Strife continuity.

Daoshou is a spirit of wrath. It is a minor character that appears in Chapter 6: The Shipment.

History[]

The origins of the Daoshou are unknown, some say it came out of the blue. Others will say the Daoshou is the guardian of Jianke, a legendary and mythological swordsman of the first Earth Empire. The Daoshou has a curse that allows it to turn from beast to human at-will, it mostly roams around as a beast. Until it confronts a worthy opponent it will shift into human form, its claws become a sword.

The Daoshou is never the same person in human form, swordsfighters have been known to kill Daoshou over the years but each succumbing to the curse of the beast. Perhaps its magic by Jianke, so the most powerful never defeat him in combat. In the records of Avatar Girilal he mentions that he did his extensive research and has killed the Daoshou without taking the curse himself. After he slew the spirit man-beast, he wore its hide as a cloak.

The story of Daoshou is the swordsman is centuries before the existence of Avatar Girilal, who after defeating two twins is confronted by the Daoshou. The swordsman defeats the spirit in combat and is later cursed when bitten. Serving his life until the next opponent defeats him.

Abilities[]

The Daoshou is a spirit that overtakes a human through a curse, one that grants powers of speed, endurance, strength, and agility. However, it also makes them lose control where they have an animalistic rage and insatiable hunger. The Daoshou is known to hunt up and coming swordsfighters. Those who defeat it have the curse pass on through a bite, while those who are unfortunately defeated by one are instead feasted on. Allowing the spirit beast to gain their strength. The Daoshou is recorded to have both a beast form and a human form.
