Daoshou the Swordsman is a minor character in Avatar: Civil Strife, he appeared in Chapter 6 as part of tall tale shared by Taobing.
History[]
A swordsfighter from the province of Fazang traveled the world building a reputation and defeating swordsmen in combat. Over the years, the swordsman was nicknamed "Daoshou" after the spirit that seeks the strongest swordsfighters across the world. Years later, he faces the spirit man beast after he killed two twin fighters in a duel. The Daoshou revealed itself to me an ancient man his age unknown, but the swordsman defeated the man in combat.
However, the spirit man-beast bit the swordsman before its defeat and infected him with curse. Daoshou the swordsman carried the curse unbeknowest to him, in Xu province he entered an animalistic rage and attacked swordsfighters in the evening. He eventually was killed by another decades or centuries later and passed on the curse.
Abilities[]
Daoshou was born a non-bender although he is considered a master swordsman and one of the Ten Great Swordsmen, in the world of swordsfighting.

- This variant of Daoshou means "swordsman" in Chinese.
- Ten Great Swordsmen was inspired from Jue Dai Shuang Jiao's version of the Ten Great Villains.
- He was nicknamed after the spirit man-beast that he dueled; his real name is unknown.
