Chu Zi Kuiwu is the Princess of the Oma Kingdom, and princess of the Kuiwu clan. Princess Chu Zi is a minor character in the fanon Avatar: Civil Strife.
History[]
Chu Zi was born in 1931 BG, to Earth King Gun and Earth Queen Consort Dai Hau, at the age of two, her arranged marriage was established to the Crowned Prince of the Isoro. Gun desired to establish an alliance with the powerful empire of the Isoro of the Si Wong province for a long time. And he knew that his opportunity came when his daughter was born.
Chu Zi spent of her years growing up in solitude and away from public life unlike her brother Yeman, she learned the laws of the land, diplomacy, politics of the Oma Kingdom, and even politics of the Isoro Empire. Gun made sure that his daughter received the best education which made her and her brother bilingual. Chu Zi like Yeman is can speak Isoro but she's fluent in the language while her brother is not. She's also knowledgale in all other barbarian clan dialects.
Soon Chu Zi, becomes of age when she turns sixteen-winters-old, which will then fast forward her arranged marriage to the Crowned Prince of the Isoro Empire. To establish the alliance between the Kuiwu clan and the Isoro just as Gun wanted, something that Yeman adopted as a goal during his reign.
Coming of Age[]
On the day of her sixteenth birthday, she spent most of her early morning with her caretakers while her uncle Cai Dao coordinated the party's decorations, musicians, and food preparation. Her mother later joined her to direct the caretakers in dressing and make up, Yeman later came to take Chu Zi to the altar outside the palace. Where she slew a wether-swine as an offering to the goddess Di.
After this event, the Isoro royals got to the city and were brought up to the palace. Here is where she met the young man that she is be married to soon. Crowned Prince Setka of the Isoro Empire, and Princess Chu Zi both shared nervousness and anxiety when they met each other, throughout the day Chu Zi is taken around the palace where she completes ceremonial rituals for her coming to age. In the afternoon, she was led to the arena where along with Aduu, and Altandol they had to test their prowess. Chu Zi showed her family, clan, and her citizens that she was a formidable future Queen, she slew a jackalope, and a squirrel fox with the assistance of her mudcat osprey.
Aduu accepted the challenge of the gemsbok bull and then lost, before Chu Zi thought she was going to die she actually impaled her saber into the throat of the gemsbok bull. She was declared a winner while her warthorse was tended to, Chu Zi was later taken to the shrine of Shanshen. Where she would visit her father's urn one last time at least for now. There she dedicated her arena matches to her father, who likely spectated from the Great Beyond.
Once they finished here she was led to change into her gown for the evening, that night she was escorted to the hall being surrounded by eight royal berserkers. Her family gave speeches and then they feasted, after all this was done the music began and Chu Zi danced with her family and friends. Setka eventually joined her in a group dance.
The next morning, she needed to depart with her new family. She hesitated to leave at first but made the final decision and took Setka's hand and joined him in the carriage.
Settling in Bekini[]
Chu Zi finally arrived in the Great Blue Jewel of the Isoro Empire, Bekini, she had been in the carriage with the Pharaoh and his two sons for over two weeks. As they stopped in different Isoro towns on their way back to the palace. She noticed the significant change not only in environment but also in society. Bekini was vastly different than what she's used to in Omashu, not only were they cleaner but they were less bloodthirsty. While the barbarians in the Oma Kingdom lands are free much of the actual ethnic people aren't, which also points out there was much more freedom of expression in the lands of the Isoro than the Oma Kingdom. However, she also realized the brief similarities like slavery, and war with the other empires that ruled in the desert.
They eventually reached the Upper Bekini district which housed the nobility of Bekini and also the palace which was not situated on a mountaintop. Once inside the palace she was given a tour by Setka's sister Nefer, the princess of Bekini. She and Nefer got along for awhile as she showed her sister-in-law to be around the palace and palace grounds before leading her to Setka's chambers. Where Setka and Chu Zi quickly dressed for a ceremony. The ceremony entailed the formal introduction of the Oma princess to the nobility of Upper Bekini. The citizens of the city accepted their new bride as did the deities of this nation. After this the ceremonial rituals for wedlock would soon commence in the palace.
