Prince Chong-Shan is a character in Avatar: Age of Kyoshi. He is the Crown Prince of the Earth Kingdom and grandson of the 46th Earth King.
The character is played by Reddit user MrAFirebender [1].
Appearance[]
Brown hair in a queue, taller than average in height. Pale skin to match the rest of the Royal Family. Dresses in the fancy robes befitting his new rank.
History[]
Growing up in the splendor of the Royal Palace, Prince Chong was not first in line for the throne. That fell to his father, the Crown Prince Ling. He grew up practicing the blade, bow, and unarmed combat at dawn, studying Earth Kingdom history and laws until lunch, spending time with fellow noble's children in the afternoon and one of many princely duties in the evenings. His days were always packed and he rarely got a break to even leave the Upper Ring. Nearly three years after the latest Peasant Rebellion forced the current Earth King to accept constitutional powers, the Crown Prince, Ling was found dead of poisoning. Ling was fighting a losing battle against the ministers to try and regain influence for his dynasty. Chong was named Crown Prince, next in line for the Earth Kingdom when his grandfather eventually dies.
He supports the Dai Li on principle due to a mutual appreciation for Earth Kingdom history and culture.
Now, the Ministers control the Earth King, and Crown Prince Chong sits in the middle of it all. He could submit and settle for a life of opulence, or he could take after his ancestors, past Earth Kings, and fight back. Fighting back also gives him whiskey. And he likes whiskey.
Personality[]
Charismatic, reckless, very ambitious, populist. Loves the color green. A traditionalist, he believes the Earth Kingdom is the best and everyone else is not as good.
