History[]

Cai Dao was a part of the invasion that took place in the Oma Kingdom several years ago. With the help of the rest of the Kuiwu clan and the other barbarian clans that rallied underneathe their banner they ripped the seat of power from the southern Han Dynasty. Toward the end of the southern Han dynasty they showed great weakness the barbarian clans conquered the other provinces that swore allegiance to the southern Han.

Over time as they obtain more men they conquered the capital of Omashu massacring the southern Han royal family and any possible successors before Gun took power as the new Earth King. This began the Kuiwu Dynasty, with Gun as king and Cai Dao as his advisor both of them were the result of the first reign of a Kuiwu to be ruthless, and a smooth running with minimal challenges to the throne by other clans.

Years later, they furthered the machinations of war and progressed in their campaign in conquering the Haijun Kingdom and ending the civil war. Their biggest loss was during the conquering of Bu'Keng in Gongzhu province although they took the province under their banner they lost their brother Xun in battle.

When Gun's heir Yeman was a child Gun learned that his son was a non-bender and decided to disown the child and rip his birthright from him. Although as Cai Dao resonated with the boy's lack of bending he convinced Gun to give Yeman a chance. Cai Dao supervised his nephew's weapon training. Soon after his brother's passing Cai Dao arranged for the coronation of Yeman and the burial of Gun, and even coronated Yeman as the new Earth King. Cai Dao stays by his family's side and advises the young king while making sure he isn't taken advantage of by the Court of Clans.

During the time of planning he missed the sacrificial offering and the arena matches. But joined his family when they visited his brother's remains.

When everyone left he noticed that the young king didn't leave and instead hid in the artificial grotto. Where he witnessed the king struggle and release his emotions. After he heard enough he revealed himself which startled Yeman, Cai Dao assured the young king that his father spoke highly of him. He promised that for as long as he lived that no one would challenge him for the throne.
