Appearance[]
Beriku is a fourteen-year-old, fair-skinned boy, with black-brown hair and chocolate brown eyes. His hair is typically spikey and somewhat reminiscent of Zuko's hair in Book 2. His main attire consists of a black and red jacket reminiscent of a blazer, with a blue version of the Fire Nation insignia sewed to the back, grey pants and black boots with red soles.
Personality[]
One thing easy to pick up on is Beriku's intelligence. He very easily thinks of smart ways out of situations or arguments to keep odds in his favor. Unlike his brother, Beriku is completely aware of the weight of their current situation. In some aspects, he does have a childish side, such as his excitement when learning waterbending. His personality is basically a combination of traits of water and firebenders, likely due to his mixed heritage, this actually has an effect on his bending, such as his temper making it hard for him to Ice bend.

Relations[]
With Karibu- the brothers have a basic sibling relationship, they love each other, but they drive each other nuts.
With Wayne- the father/son relationship is there but the two defiantly have their issues to resolve, like Wayne insisting Beriku doesn't practice his water bending
With Ty Lee- Ty Lee is probably the first real friend Beriku has made while on the run. She seems to show legitimate affection for him, and her bubbly nature works in contrast to Beriku's analytical nature.
With Monsuta- they have a Student/teacher relationship, but Monsuta may know more than he is letting on.
With Aries- to put their relationship into words would be difficult, they have a past and relationship similar to Aang and Appa, just without the freezing for a hundred years to escape genocide. Aries despite being an animal can perfectly understand Beriku and does whatever is asked of him.
Abilities[]
Fire imitation waterbending[]
True to its name, this is a style of waterbending that mimics firebending styles. Invented by Beriku as a way to teach himself to bend.
Icebending[]
While initially impossible for Beriku, Monsuta taught him that a bender's temper can heat their element, and since Beriku's temper is on even playing field with that of a fire bender, ice would not come to him as naturally as a Northern or Southern waterbender. After learning to keep a grip on his temper however, he was able to icebend multiple consecutive times.
Plantbending[]
After realizing that there was water in plants, Beriku was easily able to bend them, implying that anywhere with water or plants would give Beriku a home-field advantage.
Intelligence[]
Beriku is very analytical, easily assessing his situation, he was able to turn multiple attacks from fire soldiers into an advantage after all.
Basic acrobatics[]
While Beriku cannot measure up to the likes of Ty Lee, he is very flexible and easily able to act on reflex, he makes use of this by factoring it into his bending.
