Princess Azulana Agna Qel'a, nicknamed Azul and Lana, is a submissive waterbending master and chi-blocker born as a mix Northern Water Tribe and Fire Nation, the granddaughter of Chief Arnook and Coral, older sister of Phoebe, the eldest daughter of Marissa Aquarius and Ty Lee, niece of Yue and Suki, and the younger cousin of Glacier and Amara.
Like her mother, Azulana also had a will to fight and a rebellious streak. She was regarded as brave, strong, and smart, but was also calm and calculating with her moves. It was these qualities that allowed her to become a skilled bender and a skilled warrior.

Azulana was born in the Northern Water Tribe to Marissa and Ty Lee, sixteen years after the end of the war. For most of her life, Lana trained in both the bending arts and the non-bending styles of fighting, becoming a prodigious chi-blocker like her father.
