Avatar Mahon is the current incarnation of the Avatar in the Tale of Mahon. Mahon was born to Zon and Fong Ming in the southern city of Gaoling of the Earth Kingdom. Mahon is the son of Zon Hao and Fong Ming. His father, Zon Hao is direct descendant of the former Hao monarchs. Mahon is with his little sister, Ilah. When Mahon was eight, the Hao family moved to Zaofu after finding out that Mahon was an earthbender. When he was 16, the Order of the White Lotus announced that he was the Avatar.
History[]
Early Life[]
Mahon was born in the Earth Kingdom city of Gaoling to Zon of Ba Sing Se and Fong Ming of Gaoling. Mahon lived a great childhood, growing up with many opportunities being from a well-off family. When Mahon was 6, Fong Ming gave birth to Ilah, Avatar Mahon's sister. The family lived in Gaoling until they moved to Zaofu when Zon and Fong Ming discovered that both of their children were earthbenders. Learning metalbending with Huan Beifong, the Patriarch of Zaofu, their metalbending training stopped when the White Lotus found out Mahon was the Avatar. Since then, Zon, Fong Ming, Ilah, and Mahon have lived in the Upper Ring of Ba Sing Se.
Announced as the Avatar[]
At the age of 16, The Order of the White Lotus, came to visit Zon and Fong Ming's house. He came to deliver the news that Mahon was the new Avatar. Mahon was unsure about how to react about being the Avatar, he was scared but also excited at his newfound identity. His parents have known since Mahon was 6, but they weren't allowed to tell him until the Order of the White Lotus came to their house on his 16th birthday.
