Plot[]
Avatar: Redemption takes place approximately 75 years after the events of The Legend of Korra.
It chronicles the early days of an Earth Nation boy by the name of Kai. After his School's Headmistress declares him the reincarnation of the Avatar, he quickly finds himself attacked by the radical political group known as the Iron and Lead Brotherhood, his only refuge found in the White Lotus Organization, an offshoot of the original Order of the White Lotus. After running away from the Organization's seclusion so to chase after the Iron and Lead Brothers, he is caught by Grand Lotus Lliod, who joins him on his epic journey to fulfill his destiny.
Characters[]
- Kai Sun (Kigh-Sun)- The Metal Bending Avatar after Korra. At age 17, acting as an apprentice under acclaimed scientist Alei, he is discovered to be the Avatar after his snooty, rich fellow apprentice Zaru challenges him to a "street bending" match, something which brings out his true potential. He sets off on a journey with Lliod to master the four elements and bring an end to the corrupt Iron and Lead Brotherhood.
- Lliod (Lee-odd)- A Grand Lotus and a disciple of Air Master Meelo, grandson of Avatar Aang, the cold, calculating master chosen out of more than 3000 people to be the Avatar's bodyguard and mentor. He is always one step ahead of his enemy, and his skills surpass those of almost everyone else in the world. He is also a member of the Earth Kingdom Duke Council, and is the official Duke of Kyoshi Island, thus granting him an extensive connection to the members of the Kyoshi Warriors.
- Boru (Boh-ru)- The great-grandson of Iroh and the 3rd Cousin of Fire Lord Sefu along with the twin brother of Ran. He is a water bender, a quality he gets from his mother. He uses his ability to make tea at one of his great-grandfather's tea shops, the Jasmine Dragon in Ba Sing Se. He joins Team Avatar after Kai and Lliod stop at the store, and has a personal vendetta against the Iron and Lead Brotherhood for killing his parents.
- Ran (Rahn)- The great-grandson of Iroh and the 3rd Cousin of Fire Lord Sefu along with the twin brother of Boru. He is a fire bender, a quality he gets from his great-grandfather. He uses his ability to make tea at one of his great-grandfather's tea shops, the Jasmine Dragon in Ba Sing Se. He joins Team Avatar after Kai and Lliod stop at the store, and has a personal vendetta against the Iron and Lead Brotherhood for killing his parents. He is more serious than his brother, and devotes most of his time to training. He is Kai's Firebending Teacher.
- Alma Sato (Ahl-Maw)- The daughter of Asami Sato and Mako, she follows in her grandfather's footsteps, the ingenious inventor that she is. She is introduced to Kai by his former master Alei as his new apprentice. After being confronted by Lliod who quickly found out her plan to deliver Kai to the Iron and Lead Brotherhood, she is eventually bested after a long battle with Alei. Despite Lliod's disapproval, Kai and the fun-loving "Tea Twins" eventually convince the girl to join Team Avatar and join them in their quest.
- Mylla (Me-law)- A Kyoshi Warrior and an old friend and student of Lliod. She is the granddaughter of Councilman Sokka and an unknown Earthbender. She is a skilled sand bender and earth bender, and also has extensive training with the boomerang, and has inherited her grandfather's.
