Amala Sato is a non-bender woman from the United Republic, adoptive daughter of Avatar Korra and Asami Sato, and friends with the current Avatar, Hikar Firestone. Adopted by Korra and Asami when she was a girl, tries to live up to her mother's legacy to help improve the world.
Physical Appearance[]
Amala is a tall, middle-aged woman, who typically wears clothes among a purple and red color scheme as well as some gold, orange, and blue accessories. Typically seen with a kimono-like outfit, with a waist belt and a skirt. She shows traits from multiple nations, like a dark skin tone from the Water Tribe, robustness from the Earth Confederacy and eyes from the Fire Nation. Her hair is typically brown, but in later years it starts showing early graying in a strand in one of her frontal bangs.
Personality[]
She's a kind and loving woman and mother, who clearly loves her children. She does her best to raise them and even if they fail her, she will always forgive them and bring them back home right. Whenever they choose, she tries to show them what is right and not, and from there she lets them decide their path to go over the world.

- Iruka Sato: Her waterbending brother, they were the only family they ever had except for their mothers Korra and Asami. They always cared for each other and seems they have a healthy brother-sister relationship, both teasy and colaborative.
- Asami Sato: Her second adoptive mother. After she retired from the busy schedule she had as the head of Future Industries, Asami and Amala spent a lot of time together.
- Korra: She wasn't very present due to her Avatar duties and her teaching Her waterbending brother, but she was always understanding and loving towards her.
Romantic[]
- Yurei: Her current husband, an airbending master she admires and has some mutual respect. He is very helpful towrads her specially when it comes to their daughter Aria.
Allies[]
- Hikar Firestone: As the reincarnation of her mother, she always said he was fierce and capable like her. She seems to care for him like a son.
Abilities[]
She knows a lot about engineering and business between different companies. It was her mother Asami the one who taught her.
Trivia[]
- She's the first known non-bending female to be adopted by a lesbian couple.
- In the beginning, she was going to be a firebender, but Parker scrapped the idea due to the lack of non-bending characters, and the lack of fighting spirit in the character.
