Alaise is a minor character in the fanon Avatar: The Legacy of Rong Yan. Alaise was Palartok's former girlfriend and the mother of Tukkutok.

History[]

Born into a noble family in the Northern Water Tribe not much is well known of Alaise's early life. Alaise fell in love with a low-caste citizen named Palartok, it was forbidden for members of different castes within the Northern Water Tribe to marry or have children.

By the law, the father of the higher caste normally killed the significant other of the nobleman or noblewoman, kill the offspring of any exist, and/or force the lower caste family to pay the emotional and physical damages of the person in question.

Alaise secretly lived with Palartok under the nose of her father a wealthy nobleman in Aupaluk, whose wealth came from a hatchery of fish. While not officially in the Court of Elders, her father still had a significant amount of support from Chief Nanuq.

She lived a double life and lied to her father so that he never found out about Palartok and her son Tukkutok. Eventually a few months into the birth of her son she planned to abandon Palartok and Tukkutok while he was a newborn. She argued with Palartok and told him that she couldn't just leave her life behind. Alaise was heir to the hatchery and noble house, her father had the money to track her down and find out about her private life.

Palartok suggested moving to Igliktuk, Alaapaa region where some of his family lived but she declined. She left never to return which left Palartok alone with the child, several years later, she appeared at her son's academic graduation. Palartok noticed her and immediately told her to leave the premises he was angry that she abandoned them when their son was a newborn.

Soon after this Alaise attempted to contact her son but failed because Palartok was in direct supervision of his son. She later stopped and moved on with her life getting married and having children of her with another nobleman as was the law.
