The engineer was an employee of Future Industries.[1]

History[]

Six months after the Anti-bending Revolution, the engineer awaited his boss, Asami Sato, as she landed Future Industries' latest product, the commercial biplane. Despite Asami's excitement and belief that the planes were now ready to ship, the engineer had concerns about the future of the company. He expressed his fears of imminent bankruptcy since no company was willing to work with them due to Hiroshi Sato's incarceration for allying himself with the Equalists. However, he was told by Asami not to fear, as she planned to travel to the Southern Water Tribe to meet with Varrick, who could restore Future Industries to its former state of success.[1]

After Harmonic Convergence, the engineer was employed by Asami to steer a Future Industries airship during Team Avatar's journey to rebuild the Air Nation.[2]
