The Eel Swan Sauna is a sauna located in the Earth Kingdom, next to a picturesque river around the bend from a clutch of trickling waterfalls.[1]
History[]
While the area was not easy to reach for travelers due to the snowy tips of the western mountains and the terrible winds blasting along their jagged edges, over the years certain trails were well-established and maintained. Mountain villages grew in size and import, especially as they came to offer resources and services that were not offered elsewhere in the Earth Kingdom, such as the Eel Swan Sauna.
The oldest restort in this mountainous area of the Earth Kingdom, Eel Swan Sauna prided itself on its history and dignity, but betrayed hints of better days in layers of peeling paint.
The establishment's owner, Kim, reminisced over the Eel Swan Sauna's glory days when he was a child and the river bend was not so crowded. He was not content with the latest resort to join the neighborhood before the end of the Hundred Year War: Flameo Hot Springs, located directly across the river from the sauna. While Kim would never ask, he did not mind if someone sabotaged his competition.[1]
Kim's adopted child, Yuxuan, decided to leave the sauna to find their "real parents"; however, when they learned that they had died in captivity, Yuxuan believed that they could earn a windfall of money by capturing Qian Yu, a master thief. They planned to bring that money back to their father to help keep the sauna business afloat and make amends.[2]
