Wtf with this lesian transformation on netlfix about Omashu love storys
Wow I haven’t been here in a while..but anyways the title says it all. Call it nostalgia call it whatever, I’m scared of another live action that will completely ruin my entire day by ruining my most beloved child hood series. I’ve heard many things, like how they did Zuko really well, and nothing else. I’ve heard how it’s super good and how it’s super bad. I don’t know what to believe and I’m scared. Yes it’s a bit childish but I physically cannot get myself to push the button to press play bc I don’t know what to expect. I need someone to give me an honest opinion of the series.
Netflix Avatar the last airbender has been renewed for 2 seasons.

Is it true that Ozai is a bit of a sympathetic character in the Netflix series when compared to the original? I keep seeing people saying that he is with some controversy within the fandom.

Minor spoilers from the Netflix Live Action Series
So we know powerful spirits like Raava and Vaatu can create Avatars. Raava obviously created THE Avatar by fusing with Wan’s soul. After Wan died Raava, carrying all his memories, knowledge and even his soul, fused into or was born into a child’s soul creating a new Avatar. This is how the Avatar is reborn.
Vaatu has the same ability has he and Raava are like the supremest of spirits. Vaatu was able to fuse with Unalaq, giving his special powers. If there were Lion Turtles around Unalaq could have reduced the other three elements and become a Dark Avatar. But Korra was able to spirit bend Vaatu before this could happen. We don’t know about the spirits fate anymore. It’s possible he’s low on power and will grow stronger eventually.
Similar to these Supreme Spirits, as I am calling them, there are Primal Spirirts. The only 2 that we know of are Tui and La, the Moon snd Ocean Spirits respectively. Tui embodies the Moon and is responsible for the power of wayerbending. La embodies the Ocean and is responsible for the Water Tribe peoples. The original series said the waterbenders learned to bend from the Moon. This was challenged by LoK’s Lion Turtle Lore. However that doesn’t matter. We still know that without the Moon Spirit, water benders will lose their powers. However, in the Live Action series, we see Princess Yue bend water and freeze Sokka’s legs when she was going to give her soul to revive Tui. Essentially, because she had part of Tui’s soul from childhood, she was still able to bend even though Tui was dead. Aang was also able to bend water using La even though Tui was dead. It’s how he created the Fish-zilla monster. So it seems humans touched by spirits are able to bend even when other benders can’t. Aang has Raava’s spirit and he added La and he was able to waterbender even with Tui dead. Yue had part of Tui’s spirit so she was able to bend. This kinda makes Yue a semi-avatar or a sort of enhanced bender. She may even be more powerful than regular waterbenders.
This could mean other primal spirits can create enhanced benders or semi-avatars.
We never really see any other half-spirit half h humans. There are some like that Republic City gangster and I think he was a firebender. But his spirit was basic and not a primal or supreme spirit so it probably didn’t matter.
But we don’t really know any other primal spirits. Other than Vaatu and Raava, and Tui and La, we don’t really know if Fire, Earth and Air have primal spirits.
The original ATLA lore was that the original benders of those elements learned from Dragons (Sun Warriors), Badgermoles (Oma and Shu) and Sky Bison (ancient air nomads). But the Moon and Ocean Spirit lore kind of does conflict with that. and of course the LoK Lion Turtle Lore completely changes it even more.
It’s possible there is a “Sun Spirit” for Fire benders because we know they can’t bend when the Sun is blocked so there may be some connection there. If the planet is blocked or disconnected from the Sun/Sun Spirit, firebending will be lost.
But Earth and Air are more complicated since there aren’t any celestial objects to represent them. There could be an Earth Spirit of some sort, maybe in the Core of the planet. But for Air I have no Idea. I was thinking maybe at the edge of the atmosphere where there are atmospheric lights BUT there’s not much air up there.
Back to the point, if there are spirits for the other elements, a Sun spirit being the best bet, then they could possible enhance benders.
For Fire, a possible candidate for its primal spirit is the Dragon Bird spirit from Season 2 of LoK. Or it could be some Sun Phoenix of sorts. Not sure if there’d be 2 though since there really aren’t 2 real world objects representing fire other than the Sun.
Anyways that’s all

In case anyone is interested and did anyone else think The Fog of Lost Souls in the fifth episode function similar to the The Swamp (S2 Cartoon) (Where the Gang had visions, Sokka encountered Yue) only Aang instead of meeting
Toph he met the Face Stealer Spirit. Then in the sixth episode where Zuko is healing after getting burned by his father it kinda had that vibe to Zuko’s flashback in S3 after he’s scarred but before he starts his quest to search for the Avatar. Those are few similarities I’ve noticed between the live action and cartoon.

Daughter and Mother
Bolin: 🤨 So here’s something I’ve always been curious about: Who’s Suki’s dad?
Suki: 😒
Bolin: 😬
Mako: 😠 Really, Bolin? You just have to ask question about Suki’s dad, just like Lin’s dad, did you?
Bolin: 😟 What? I’m just asking and curious about it. That’s all.
