Due to lack of something as a "reposting" you can do on Twitter or Tumblr or whatever, I am going to go with a good old fashioned "copy and paste". The original message can be found here and it was brought to our attention by here, though I figured it could use some more direct visibility, hence the re-blogging of the entire statement.
Howdy, friends. As you have likely already heard, four episodes from Book 3 were leaked this past weekend. It is bad enough that it happened at all, but it would have been a little less of a disaster had it at least been the first four episodes of the season. Instead, the third through the sixth episodes popped o…Read more >
Back in February, Dark Horse announced collectable items for Avatar: The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra, which will include "limited-edition statues, figurines, and busts, as well as, featured plush, drinking glasses, cups, coffee mugs, coaster sets, magnets, playing cards, badges, pins, lunch boxes, sculptural pins, among other items." In particular, Pabu and Naga plushies are back in stock.

Mike dropped a rather unexpected bomb in the comments of this blog post, about the steps that go into writing an episode of "The Legend of Korra":
I wasn't sure where to post this information, so I decided on a whim to blog about it. Here is the quote:
"Yes, the Bhanti is the name of that tribe [that rescued Korra after she got amnesia]. Sometimes we come up with backstories for characters that don’t always get spelled out in the final scripts. If the exposition isn’t vital to understanding what’s going on, it usually gets trimmed."
If you read the part that mentions them, what it says is that, in the original draft of the episode, the Bhanti were a tribe…Read more >
With 2014 well underway, the time comes again to take stock of what we gained and lost this past year as the celebrations end and people get back to business - and as always, things have changed quite a bit. With the second season of the Legend of Korra passing with relatively less fanfare, we mark the first on-peak decrease of registered editor participation in the wiki's history - though off-peak numbers remain stable.

Heyo! So, now that Book 2 is almost officially over with, we could take a break...
Or spring right into action in Book 3! Either way, I feel like everybody might want a little refresher as I explain everything we know thus far about Book 3, which, I may add, is very minimal.
Stuff we know about Book 3:
- It will heavily feature Lin Beifong.
- Korrasami friendship likely occurs in this book.
- It will be 13 episodes.
- The wait will be shorter than the wait from Book 1 to Book 2.
- The first episodes have already been animated.
- There will be likely be a new character Opal, voiced by Alyson Stoner.
- New bad girl who's not a firebender voiced by Grey DeLisle, possibly waterbender.
- Book 3 may take place in the Earth Kingdom, as Bryan Konietzko mentioned an Earth …
It is probably without contention that many have noticed the recent disabling of comments on this wiki. Maybe even more so, older users have likely noted the lack of outrage and passion that once characterized a good majority of users and hard-line commenters in June of 2012 - when that other historical bid to remove the system was met with stubborn, and almost insurmountable, resistance; translating into pages and pages of back-and-forth arguments. It seems in the span of a little more than a year, most of that sentiment - and the users that once stood for them - have all but disappeared. All that really remains is a widespread apathy to what was once an integral part of our community, as well as some interesting analysis as to the, sadly…Read more >

Welcome! This blog posts contains all the smaller news items – the minor tidbits – that were picked up by various Avatar Wikians from scoops or around the web. They weren't important or wordy enough for their own blog post but we still found them kind of cool, so here they are. This page is updated periodically, so remember to check back for the latest!

Okay guys, it's finally here! Since I know everyone just wants to hear the date I'll get right to it. Friday, September 13th at 7pm EST. That's the day we finally are awakened from our 15 month long hibernation from The Legend of Korra.
Book 2 airs at 7pm EST, which is rather unusual, as book 1's episodes were aired at 11am. It's also unusual because September 13th is a Friday, and Avatar: Legend of Korra typically airs on Saturday morning. If I recall correctly, the San Diego Comic-Con panel said that they would be keeping the same air time slot as last season. It will be interesting to see what they do about that.
Also interesting is the fact that many people have been speculating that the date would be revealed when The Last Airbender airs, d…Read more >
A new and canonical web miniseries has been released on nick.com! This web series was written by Tim Hendrick, and designed by Evon Freeman. It follows a young Mako and Bolin struggling to survive in Republic City.
Thus far only one part of three has been released, but in it we see Bolin and Mako pull a scam on a woman, and then head to talk to Shady Shin. We also see Toza being paid 10,000 yuans to lose a match, so that Shin can get a benefit by betting against them and collecting lots of money.
It still includes David Faustino as Mako and PJ Bryne as Bolin, and the music that's shown is a lot of the pieces that we already heard in Book one, like the music that plays during the chase and Bolin wants to Know. However, the art style for the n…Read more >
