I have noticed that on the template pages, wikia keeps informing us of the new infobox markup language ([[Help:PortableInfoboxes]]) and gives us the ability to make "draft copies" of them to test out. Do you think we should go about updating our infoboxes? We will first need to be assured that it will not break existing ones used in articles. {{User:Duke of Skibbington/Sig}} 01:21, August 29, 2015 (UTC)

:This is something that is already being discussed amongst the admins. The issue is the sheer amount of work that would go into changing them, when the outcome is only a minor aesthetic change. {{User:Fruipit/Signature}} 05:36, August 29, 2015 (UTC)

:::This is a known thing, as we were contacted about that a good while ago. As Fruipit already noted, this has been discussed amongst the admins, but it is not just the sheer amount of work it would take to convert all the boxes, that an sich would be manageable, but the main problem lies with the fact that many of our userboxes are coded in layers, which would not translate well with the boxes Wikia suggests. We could still work that out, but then it comes back to what Fruipit said: it would be a lot of tinkering for a mediocre result, because the proposed infoboxes offer little benefit, especially when you take the downside for desktop users into account, namely that extremely bland look. So all in all, the effort would just not be worth the outcome. The current infoboxes would still continue to work and be supported, so no need to worry about that. {{User:Lady Lostris/Signature}} 10:31, August 29, 2015 (UTC)

I have noticed that on the template pages, wikia keeps informing us of the new infobox markup language (Help:PortableInfoboxes) and gives us the ability to make "draft copies" of them to test out. Do you think we should go about updating our infoboxes? We will first need to be assured that it will not break existing ones used in articles. This is something that is already being discussed amongst the admins. The issue is the sheer amount of work that would go into changing them, when the outcome is only a minor aesthetic change. Frui (🌹🐝🐝🐝) 05:36, August 29, 2015 (UTC)

This is a known thing, as we were contacted about that a good while ago.
