Hello again,
I am once again starting a new discussion! I think everybody who have been present in this wiki have gotten over it, right? Maybe yes! Maybe no!
As many know, back in ATLA when Aang used energybending to strip Ozai of his firebending, we saw Aang's and Ozai's energies (the former's being blue, while the latter's red). However, in TLOK, we saw that the Avatar's eyes glowed while energybending. If you guessed it correct, then you have guessed the topic of this thread - Does the Avatar State have a role in energybending?
To me, the Avatar State has a role to do with the ancient art. But ATLA just leaves this question unanswered (until Bryke finally puts the question to rest with a confirmed answer!) The process of energybending different in both series. When Aang used it, in TLOK, against Yakone, just his eyes, along with his tattoos, glowed, similar to the Avatar State. But back in ATLA, his entire body glowed blue, while his eyes and tattoos glowed white. But another reason convinces me that the Avatar's powerful ability plays a part in energybending. The ancient art predates the four bending arts and if the Avatar requires the Avatar State to bend all the elements simultaneously, then why not energybending which was first used by the lion turtles to provide or remove bending. If this is true, we have to add the fact that the Avatar State has something to do with this ancient art.
So what are your opinions? Comment below!

What is the purpose of this being in the War Room though? I don't think a community consensus on the matter would change the fact that anything that is "decided" here would be speculation. Zacatero • (Wall) • 15  20  15 23:02, 25 May 2021 (UTC)
Actually, you're right. I was somewhat expecting this to happen (your response). Alright, you can close this discussion. It is just speculation, but the scenes where energybending was done in TLOK made me (and I guess others too) think that the Avatar State had a role in this process. So, as told before, you can close it. Sorry for starting a speculation-discussion. Yohan Mavely talkAppa Face (Signature Use) 20:23, 26 May 2021 (UTC)
