I'd like to propose a slight change to how articles are currently sorted. Historically speaking, we have used DEFAULTSORT to change how several articles are sorted, among them several ones with the "The [rest of title]" format (mostly notably episodes), to make alphabetical ordering actually useful, instead of putting them all under the letter "T" in categories. As this is the case with the definite article "the", I propose we expand this to the indefinite articles "a" and "an". While this has not been an issue before, in looking through novel chapter titles, created and pending, I noticed that there are 10 chapters in "The Reckoning of Roku" in the "A [rest of title]" format which would incur their grouping under "A" as "the" would under "T", and edits to the Cite Roku template already show we're likely to get more such titled chapters in "The Awakening of Roku". This is not a big change, but is a functional one. Checking the A to Z category, there are currently 7 main namespace articles which would be affected: 3 Korra episodes, 1 Korra comic, 2 Roku novel chapters, and 1 RPG adventure booklet. Korra episodes and comic through their transcript namespace articles add another 7 articles. Thoughts? Omnibender - Talk - Contributions 00:53, 3 November 2025 (UTC)
