Forty years ago, Avatar Korra wandered the world in search of further enlightenment, soon after the death of her wife, Asami Sato. Two decades after that, the Avatar herself passed on at the age of one-hundred-and-twelve. According to Avatar Korra's will, the Earth Kingdom sages were not to search for an Avatar. Thanks to Korra's sheltered upbringing in the White Lotus compound, she hopes that her successor will be able to enjoy a normal life with their family, and reveal themselves to the world as Avatar in due time.
