An Urgent Request is an adventure booklet and a playable standalone adventure, set during the Roku Era, for Avatar Legends: The Roleplaying Game. The adventure was released in an exclusive PDF for backers of the Kickstarter campaign on May 12, 2023.

Overview

The renowned Air Nomad Rioshon has uncovered a plot to discredit Princess Zeisan and her Air Nomad teachings! However, the nun and the princess have a past and Rioshon can't just go to Zeisan and tell her about the plot. Instead, she enlists the help of the heroes to warn the princess and foil whatever nefarious plot their enemies have planned.

Description

The Fire Nation princess, Zeisan, is engaged to the leader of the Guiding Wind, an Air Nomad named Khandro, and their wedding is night. News of the celebration is all over the nation's capital. As part of the festivities leading up to the wedding, the princess is giving a lecture on the Guiding Wind's principles for all to hear in Hari Bulkan. Fire Lord Sozin believes his sister is out to dethrone him, and in a move to discredit her, is planning to interrupt the lecture with undercover Fire Nation soldiers pretending to be radical Air Nomads. Air Nomad Sister Rioshon has discovered the plot to ruin the lecture and asks the heroes to warn Princess Zeisan before it is too late.

Adventure hook

The heroes helped accompany Sister Rioshon to the city, but they meet her for the first time during play when she approaches the heroes after they saw Zianda and the exchange at the tea house. She charges them to warn Zeisan, and she can help figure out the conspiracy behind the scroll if the PCs have it — of she can suggest they might want to nab the scroll to figure out what is going on. Sister Rioshon vouches for them, and protects them from any blowback from their antics in trying to retrieve the scroll as best she can... but she can't save them from everything, as she is at best a visiting dignitary.

Characters

• Princess Zeisan — The Fire Lord's sister and target of a plot to discredit the Air Nomads in the Fire Nation.
• Sister Rioshon — An Air Nomad secretly in love with Princess Zeisan, aware of the plot against the princess and seeking a way to stop it.
• Minister Zianda — Fire Lord Sozin's right hand, and the architect of the plot to discredit Princess Zeisan.
• Mio — Fire Lord Sozin's bodyguard and the person in charge of the firebenders who will pretend to be Air Nomads to discredit the princess.
• Mio's Firebenders — A group of firebenders loyal to Fire Lord Sozin who are pretending to be Air Nomads of the Guiding Wind to attack Fire Nation nobles and discredit Princess Zeisan.
• Tiger-Monkey — An independent investigator hired by Fire Nation nobles to investigate the rumors that the Air Nomads are up to no good.
• Khandro — An Air Nomad monk who is the leader of the Guiding Wind and betrothed to Princess Zeisan.

Trivia

• The adventure also includes "fully fleshed-out character sheets for each of the PCs" of the Actual Play and a character sheet for Zeisan as a NPC Legend.
• The Actual Play of An Urgent Request was released on YouTube on 16 April 2023. It featured Lili Sparx as GM, with the party consisting of Dante Basco, Jennie Kwan, Becca Scott, and Ify Nwadiwe.
