• Michael Dante DiMartino e Bryan Konietzko hanno dichiarato che non hanno "mai trovato un nome per il padre di Sozin ["figured out names"] e i suoi precedessori perché non erano stati importanti nella serie animata di Avatar: The Last Airbender. Il nome di Taiso venne alla fine rivelato nel romanzo The Reckoning of Roku, scritto da Randy Ribay.
