Jeremy Zuckerman è un compositore e musico americano che ha già vinto molti Emmy. Insieme a Benjamin Wynn, ha composto l’intero sfondo musicale di Avatar: La Leggenda di Aang e La Leggenda di Korra, ma ha anche lavorato su altre produzione come “Kung Fu Panda- Mitiche Avventure”. Inoltre ha collaborato con altri artisti come David Lee Roth.
Biografia[]
Nato nel 31 Luglio 1975 nel New York rurale, Zuckerman ha iniziato a suonare il pianoforte a cinque anni da sua madre e la chitarra a tredici anni dopo aver mostrato grande interesse nella musica già da bambino. Più tardi, ha accettato lavori minori nell'industria della musica come il confezionamento di CD per poi iniziare a lavorare per o studio di produzione a Manhattan.
Dopo essersi laureato al Berklee College di Boston in musica jazz e computer, mostrò interesse verso le nuove tecnologie e si spostò al California Institute of the Arts (CalArts). Era lì che ha incontrato Benjamin Wynn, con il quale fondo nel 2004 “The Track Team”, una compagnia di musica e suoni stazionai a LA, inoltre si guadagnò la sua laurea magistrale in “Media di Composizione”. Anche dopo la laurea, è tornato alla CalArts più volte come lettore e collaboratore per idee di workshop. Zuckerman ha imparato a suonare una grande varietà di strumenti e suona la chitarra per una banda funk di LA chiamati Cousin Junebug.
Zuckerman creò la famosa colonna sonora di Avatar: The Last Airbender e La Leggenda di Korra, ricevendo nel 2008 il Golden Reel Award per l’editing migliore per una serie TV animata per l'episodio “La Cometa di Sozin, parte quattro: Un Mondo Nuovo”. Inoltre, la colonna sonora vinse anche un Peabody Award dello stesso anno. Ha confermato il suo ritorno per alcuni progetti delle Avatar Studios, ma non per l'adattamento Netflix.
In seguito, Zuckermann e Wynn crearono la musica per i film Just Peck (2009)e A Leading Man (2013), e anche per la serie Nickelodoen Kung Fu Panda: Legends of Awesomeness (“Avventure Mitiche”). Nel 2017, dopo due Emmy vinti e cinque nomine, il The Track team venne sciolto per permettere a Zuckerman e Wynn di inseguire strade separate.
Dal 2024, Zuckerberg ha collaborato nell'arrangiamento di una lunga serie di concerti live in tutto il mondo per presentare la musica di The Last Airbender: “Avatar Live in Concert” che sarà previsto durare fino a fine 2026.
