F. C. Yee

F. C. Yee, che nella vita privata usa il suo nome Christian, è un autore di romanzi statunitense per giovani adulti già noto in precedenza per The Epic Crush of Genie Lo e The Iron Will of Genie Lo. Yee è lo scrittore dei primi quattro romanzi della serie Cronache dell'Avatar su Kyoshi e Yangchen.

Biografia

Yee acque a New Jersey e frequentò la scuola a New England, ma si trasferì poi a Colorado. A parte la scrittura, pratica la Capoeira e ha un lavoro "normale" che consiste per la maggior parte a "compilare tabulati". Yee è di discendenza Coreana e Cinese. Ha dichiarato che "F.C. Yee" è il suo nome vero e che la "F" non abbia nessun significato, è solo una lettera che compare sul suo certificato di nascita. Ama raccontare alla gente che sia l'acronimo per "Football club".

• Yee è un fan del lavoro di Gene Luen Yang.
• I sui personaggi preferiti di Avatar: La Leggenda di Aang e La Leggenda di Korra sono Toph e Tenzin, rispettivamente.

• Dopo il rilascio di The Legacy of Yangchen, Yee ha dichiaro di non essere più tanto sicuro se volesse continuare a scrivere i romanzi degli Avatar, ma se dovesse tornare nel futuro, scriverebbe sull'Avatar Szeto. Il romanzo dopo The Legacy of Yangchen, ovvero The Reckoning of Roku, sarà il primo non scritto da Yee.
