Could a Lavabender cover a body part in Lava and not get hurt? If not; how hot could they keep Lava and not get hurt?
What's on your mind?
So, we are all familiar each main society:
For those who are curious about the Secondary Societies; these appear to be them:
Guru Pathik's People (we know nothing currently about them)
Foggy Swamp Tribe
Si Wong Tribe (Sandbenders)
With those out of the way; here is my question:
Is it possible these Secondary groups came from different Lion Turtles than the Main groups?
Airbending: What even is air bending? Can they bend any gasses. Theoretically, waterbenders can steam bend. So, can airbenders do that too...? What's the limit?
Can air benders manipulate the heat of the object they are bending like all the other bending types? So can airbenders waterbend?...I've gone too far
Firebending: Fire is just air, but combustion takes place. So they should theoretically be able to lava bend too...Because maybe they are able to bend anything where combustion take place...but then how do they bend electricity? So they are able to bend enegy? If so, is light bending a thing...? Is shadowbending real? Sound bending would be cool...
Edit: Just realized Earthbenders can glassbend...(Not confirmed but it would be awesome)
Extra: if you could bend air perfectly and creat vibrations, is that soundbending..?
Water bending: You could Blood bend the blood inside someone, not to control them but rather pull the blood out or even explode them...literally. INSTA-KILL
You could pull water out of thin air because humidity exists...SO they could steam bend...
(Also since most of our bodily functions depend on water...we could say its the most deadly form of bending...)
Earth Bending: If all earth metals can be bent, is calcium also able to be bent? If so, then we get Bone bending!
Anyone have any guesses as to what the "Age of Darkness" would be like in the events that Vaatu won? I'd guess that he didn't actually block out the Sun. I'd guess he corrupted the Spirits but what else? 10,000 years is a long time. What other effects do you think took place?
As much as my shipping heart would like to say that in canon Zuko and Sokka ended up together I find that unlikely, doesn’t mean I won’t be writing fan fics about them anyway. In canon however there is mystery around if Sokka had kids, who is Suyin's dad, and who Zukko had kids with and I would like to take my spin at it. The following is just my opinion and is not fact and is not meant to disrespect your opinion.
Zuko’s wife/ Izumi’s mother: In canon Mai breaks up with Zuko in the year 101 AG and they are not back together by the end of the atla. This makes sense because Izumi has light grey hair, implying she might have had dark brown hair in her youth instead of pitch-black which would be likely if Mai and Zuko had her. There is only one other person I can think of that could be Izumi’s mother, Jin of the Earth Kingdom. Jin has brown hair unlike Mai, and I think it is possible that she and Zuko reunited. What I believed happened is Zuko visited his uncle for a time in Ba Sing Se sometime after 103 AG and happened to run into Jin. He would reintroduce himself and apologize and she would probably be mad at first but soon warm up to him again. They would fall in love and eventually he would ask her to be his queen. They would have Izumi and than sometime in the 68 years between 103 and Korra’s time she would leave, die, or both. Izumi in Japenese means spring/fountain, and there first date was at that fountain and it is where they shared there first kiss.
Sokka’s kids: For Sokka I think it is a little simpler. We know that Sokka took up the mantle of Chief of the Southern Water tribe but was also its representative which means he moved around a lot. I believe he and Suki tied the knot and had at least one son, Baatar, around 125AG. I checked the genetics and although unlikely, if Suki had just one parent with green eyes than there is a 6% chance that their child would also have green eyes, and considering green is a common earth kingdom eye colour I am willing to bet that she has one parent and several other ancestors with green eyes. Anyway both of his parents being non-benders would give him an increased chance of being a non-bender himself. While they traveled Suki probably would have introduced him to Earth kingdom culture and he would enjoy it, and Sokka would introduce a creative and inventive ability into him that would lead him to become an architect. Once he grew up Baatar would move to Zaofu and meet Suyin and the rest is history, Since Suki was of the earth kingdom it makes sense that with Suyin they would mostly have earth benders instead of water benders. I believe that Suki may have died in line of duty somewhere between 130 AG and 140AG, but she very well could have just died of natural causes somewhere around 170 AG or is even still alive, but as for Sokka I believe for him to have died sometime not long after 157 AG. Although Sokka and Toph have met since there children were born, I do not believe they would have there children along for either of these meetings and that is why Suyin and Baatar didn’t meet until sometime before 150AG.
Suyin's dad: When it comes to who is Suyin's father I think it is either Sun or Ho Tun, Su isn't born for 24 years after we last see them in the comics so anything is possible in that time. Su got 90% of her looks from Toph and only her skin colour from her dad and both these guys have a bit darker skin than Toph.
I considered Satoru, Toph is quite smitten with him, but after a lot of thinking I don't think its likely. One he is of firenation decent which genetically would make it a little unlikely (although not impossible) for Suyin to be a metal bender, second although darker then Toph he is not as tanned as Su, and finally although his age is not confirmed he appears to be much older than Toph and doesn't show to have feeling for her other than friendly. Sun and Ho Tun don't show romance either but they are closer in age to her, both are earthkingdom (one even being a metal bender) and there skin tone is much closer to Suyin's, so genetically I find it more likely to be one of those two. It is also possible we don't know him at all.

Hello everybody. I've had ideas pertaining to poisonbending for a while. It would not be a subskill unique to one bending art but rather a subskill of multiple bending arts and subskills. I'm just going to dive right in.
Waterbenders could bend any poison that has water in it or even polluted water that is hazardous enough. I first conceptualized this with a waterbending villain who used poisonbending to assassinate her opponents.
Plantbending is also a subskill of waterbending but this method of poison bending is different. One could also call this poisonous plantbending because it involves using plantbending on poisonous plants. There are many plants that are poisonous to humans. Some are so poisonous that you cannot even touch them or you might die. But some of the less poisonous plants, such as poison ivy and poison oak, will cause you to rash up and swell. But imagine if somebody shoved one of those plants down your throat with plantbending. This could also potentially be lethal.
The metalbending variant of poisonbending is something that we've already seen. A Red Lotus sentry metalbended mercury at Korra and also bent it to go straight inside of her body. As we all know, this forced her into the Avatar State and nearly killed her. Zaheer later told Korra that she definitely would have died if it weren't for her limitless power, so any other person would have been killed by the mercury poisoning.
This last skill I've come up with is a lot more speculatory. I'm thinking that an airbender would be able to bend poison that is in a gaseous form. If Meelo can bend his farts then I don't see why they couldn't bend gas. I also showed airbenders funneling the gas in the picture but they aren't bending the gas; they are just using the air to redirect the gas which isn't gasbending or poisonbending. It's really hard to know if this is possible because no Air Nomad would ever use poison. However, after Harmonic Convergence, not all airbenders are Air Nomads so it's always possible.
I've also thought of a poison clan/society, which would probably be a group of villains, specifically assassins. In addition to including poisonbenders of all types that I have mentioned, it would also include non-bending assassins who use poisonous weapons to assassinate their opponents.
So what are your thoughts on poisonbending, and do you have any ideas related to poisonbending? I invite you all to share.
Thoughts on this ? It’s a random theory I found on the interweb. I would like to see what you guys think!
When Aang temporarily becomes Roku in the Fire Sages Temple; he returns Zhao's and his men's Fire Blast back at them which covers about the whole room. It melts through Katara's, Sokka's and even Zuko's chains. What's odd is the Fire covers all of them but leaves them unharmed. It only knocks back Zhao and his men and melts the chains.
Any guesses as to how the Fire didn't even hurt them? Even the melting of the chains didn't even have an effect.
Well there’s 118 elements so there are 122 different types of benders
Aang's eye color alternates between brown and Grey, signifying that one of his parents was Fire Nation, and the other was an Air Nomad, what if Aang was naturally a firebender, but he was born into the Air Nation instead
As you can see. Amon is saying bending is the cause of war in every era. But the lion turtle said ''In the era before the avatar we bend not the ELEMENTS but the ENEGRY within''. But this makes me even wonder more. So before The Badgermoles the moon the dragons the air bison they bend the energy? SO WHO BEHIND THE ENERGY? THE SPIRITS?
So we all know Korra and how her fighting style was always "Fight First, Ask Questions Later"
and since the next Avatar is always the previous incarnation's opposite, the next Avatar after Korra will probably be all about using their head and thinking things through a little better, which is probably one of the necessary needs to generate Lightning.
And so in theory, the latest Avatar should be able to have the ability of Lightning generation and with the help of the Avatar State, could generate enough Lightning to use it in battle or power an entire city! Since the world of Avatar is currently in the process of developing reliable electricity⚡⚡⚡⚡⚡⚡⚡⚡
So I thought that Smellerbee might be trans. I mean, everyone keeps calling her a guy. When Iroh did, she got pretty annoyed. I know people think she's just a girl who acts more like a stereotypical guy, but Longshot's line really made me sway towards thinking she's trans. Longshot wordlessly told her "As long as you're confident with who you are, it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks" this is implying that people can believe that she is a girl, which is essentially denouncing transgenderism (Ok ok, you're probably saying HOW DARE YOU IMPLY THAT IROH IS TRANSPHOBIC, I'm not saying that, but other people might have really told Smellerbee that she was a boy, denouncing her identity)
Now, I know that people have thought that it's too vague, but remember, this was like 12 years ago. Being trans wasn't nearly as socially accepted, or even recognized as it is today. They had to be vague so that Nick wouldn't shut them down. Korra and asami were the first queer nick characters, so this was a really new thing.
Tell me what you think!
You know how Tenzin disliked probending at first because it's a "mockery of the noble tradition of bending"?
But there are airbending sports, though.
Maybe airbending itself is super spiritual, so that makes every airbending sport spiritual as well.
Maybe Tenzin just doesn't like how there is no airbending in probending.
(I've haven't finished season 3 of TLOK yet, so please correct me if something's wrong.)
Airbenders and firebenders can conjure up air and fire out of nothing but waterbenders and earthbenders can only bend them if there nearby so that means firebenders and airbenders can bend in space. Correct me if I’m wrong.
Sand is glass if you hit it hard enough so could sandbenders make and bend glass?
Let say there was acid and a waterbender could that bender bend that acid?
So P'Li could control the trajectory of her combustion projectiles, right? So my question is: Could a master firebender redirect the projectiles shot by combustion benders? Like waterbenders turning around other waterbenders' attacks against them. If possible, it would be a very cool ability.
