Hi! I'm not active much on this wiki, but I thought I'd share the little Korrasami Scene that I just finished writing for fun. Hope you like it!
Btw sorry in advance about spelling errors. Please do not steal.
It takes place about nine or so months after the Ruins of the Empire Comics.
Okay, here we go:
Brisk morning breeze blew against Korra’s face, making her hair flap into her eyes. Despite the windchill, it was a nice summer day. The many birds that resided in the forests near Zaofu chirped about and chased each other through the open sky.
Korra paced back and forth under the sun. The newly refurbished metal domes were folded downwards, making the city appear like a lotus.
But as much as she admired the architecture of Zaofu, and the story behind how it was built, Korra could only think of one thing right now. Or rather, one person. It had been three months since she had last seen her beloved Asami. Seen her, held her in her arms, touched her lips to her own.
If Republic City didn’t need her, Korra would have accompanied Asami and Varrick on their business trip. The two, along with a few university students and other entrepreneurs, had left a few months ago to fly around the Earth Kingdom, studying other forms of modern architecture and learning new techniques to help with the new section of Republic City.
Korra had hated the idea of being away from Asami so long, but she had found ways to cope. She was finally able to attend meetings with a president who wasn’t always trying to throw her out of the city, and she had plenty of jobs to do and people to help.
It was also probably good for them to learn to spend some time away from each other.
But that hadn't stopped Korra from worrying about her. Kuvira had stabilized the Earth Kingdom well, but since the leadership had shifted once more, bands of crooks had started popping up over several states. She knew Asami could handle herself, though. Like the time she had beaten a dozen equalists back when they had first met or when she had sent Tokuga flying off that airship to save Korra.
They had written to each other a lot over the three months. Korra wanted to make sure it wasn't like last time, when it had taken her two years to summon up the courage and strength to write one of her friends back.
Korra had re-read every letter multiple times, wishing Asami were back with her. She missed her girlfriend's voice, telling her not to care what other people said, always comforting her. She missed her beautiful face and wavy black hair, and her sweet smile that made everything else fade away.
For three months, Korra had been waiting and waiting to see her again. And today was that day.
In Asami's last letter, she had informed her that her and her crew would be stopping by Zaofu the next week for a last destination on their trip, and then heading straight back to Republic City. Korra's heart had filled with excitement and a smile had spread across her lips. She had asked Tenzin if she could borrow a Sky Bison and had taken off to Zaofu the next day.
And now here she was, awaiting the arrival of her girlfriend in the metal city. She hadn't told Asami she was going to be here, but she had a good feeling she had probably guessed.
Korra felt a light tap on her shoulder. She turned around to find Suyin standing there with an amused expression.
"Well, you're up early."
Korra blushed.
"I just thought I'd let you know that Asami just radioed me," Su informed her. "They'll be flying in any time now."
Korra could feel her shoulders perk up. "Thanks for letting me know, Su," She said with a smile.
"Of course," The older woman replied, waving and walking off.
Korra scanned the sky, her heart racing with so many emotions. At last, they came into view, two large Future Industries Airships. Korra chuckled as she remembered Asami and Varrick's heated argument over which companies ships they'd be using. Her girlfriend had made a valid point in saying that ever since the mad inventor had experimented with spirit vines, there was no telling when one of his products was going to blow up.
As the sky vehicles came closer into view, Korra began waving with both arms. She spotted Asami through the glass window of the nearest airship. Asami noticed her and started waving back like crazy, smiling like someone had just gifted her the sun.
Korra could barely contain her frantic excitement as the wheels hit Zaofu's runway and the huge door slowly lowered itself to let the passengers out. First came a few young adults, equipped with tools and heavy briefcases. Then Varrick burst through the crowd, yelling something about going to explode if he didn't find a working washroom.
As the rest of the work members pooled through onto the streets of Zaofu, Korra was left with the sight of Asami standing in the doorway.
"KORRA!" Her girlfriend's delighted voice filled her ears.
"ASAMI!" She greeted back, equally happy.
Korra and Asami ran into each other's arms, huge smiles plastered across their faces. They spun each other around for a few moments, crying happy tears and laughing like it was the best day of their lives.
After a fierce hug, Korra stared lovingly into Asami's sparkling green eyes. She breathed in the scent she had longed for for months and let it energize her further.
"I hope you haven't been waiting long," Her girlfriend said, grinning.
Korra laughed. "Only three months," she replied, mimicking the greeting words from their reunion after she had been away for three years. The two girlfriends giggled.
Asami's arms slid around her waist and back. Their foreheads pressed together, and moments later, they were kissing.
Korra's heart felt like it would explode with happiness as she pressed against the love of her life. She had missed Asami's lips, her comfort, her presence so much. And now here they were, kissing like nothing else mattered.
When they pulled apart, Korra blushed.
"I missed you so much, Asami," She said, letting her emotions pour out through her words.
"I missed you too, Korra," Asami smiled. Much to her delight, she kissed Korra all over her face.
Korra pressed her lips to her girlfriend's one last time before pulling her into a soft, gentle hug. The kind Asami always gave her when she was feeling down. Asami sighed happily into her shoulder and rubbed her back in a steady rhythm. Wrapped in her loved one's arms, Korra finally felt whole again.
Like I was saying, I just finished writing this. Like JUST five minutes ago. So I haven't really had time to correct it yet.
Hope it's okay!
