Firstly, wanted to say, thank you, Bryan and Mike, for this beautiful show. In my opinion, it surpassed the original show (In my opinion, so no haters please) in story and darker overall tone of story and colour. Thank you, Bryan and Mike.

Anyway, enough ranting, I know this is only a few hours after the episode was put online, but for those who have watched it, the ending is just... wow. Beautiful. I used to be a regular Makorra/Bosami shipper. But as it drew nearer to the end I began to think probably as you Korrasami shippers would think. Korrasamians: I understand your pain now. Those final seconds with them holding hands, looking at eachother, you can't help but think it, right? But that final moment where you think they're gonna kiss but it cuts off is just so frustrating! Now, I'm a pretty huge Korrasami shipper. However, is it official, to you and the other shippers?

Some of you might say it could just be a close, heterosexual relationship, and that is entirely plausible, but could it be what we think it is? In fact, should it be? I personally don't see anything but good in having a confirmed homosexual couple in such a well-known show, especially being in a cartoon, even if it is for teenagers. Y'know, what with helping to normalize it in the media and whatnot, because honestly, it doesn't need to be shoved in our faces, but could at least one kids' show have a gay relationship? C'mon people! This is 2014/5, where this shoudn't be an issue. How can we not normalize it without the media?

But those are my views, what are yours? No haters please, it's just a discussion.

To be honest, I disliked "Korrasami", for various reasons (I'm not homophobic though). Although "Korrasami" hasn't been confirmed, it was just "teased" as you said, the ending strongly hinted that they do have feelings for each other indeed. Either that or they're just very, very close friends. If they really do have feelings for each other, I'd be rather disappointed. But the series is over, so it's not that important. And it's just my opinion.

I dislike "shipping" in general anyway.

First, I want to say that I am also not a fan of shipping.
Then I want to say this:

The Legend of Korra made me want Korra to be with Mako when it wanted me to, it made me want Bolin to be with Eska, it made me want Mako to be with Asami, and so on.

Also, I must admit that there were a few moments were Korra and Asami were talking that there were - at least what felt like - subtle hints that they might like each other.

I honestly expected Korra and Mako to get back together at the end, and I was quite disappointed when they didn't, because despite Mako and Asami still being something that might happen, it meant that Korra wouldn't have anyone.

And then, literally in the last minute, they dropped a brilliant bombshell on us.

I was incredibly surprised by the ending, and I was even more surprised that they ended it like that rather than with all of them going to the Spirit World and/or showing us what happened to the rest of the world in the aftermath of Kuvira's defeat, in a similar fashion to how The Legend of Aang ended.

But despite all that, I really liked it.
Like many others above me have said, if it were any male that Korra had interacted with like that, no one would be questioning it. They would all simply be surprised, then accept it as canon.

And I know I've said it already, but just so you everyone remembers that I really am impartial when it comes to all of this - and I only wanted her to be with Mako because he was the only one the show directly showed us that she liked - I am not in any way a shipper. But I was extremely happy with the ending, and completely convinced by it.

In conclusion: everyone, stop arguing. There is nothing wrong with the ending, morally, logically, nor romantically: it was a sweet, peaceful ending to a wonderful series.

Edit: Although, thinking about it, I'm quite disappointed with the ending, because there's a lot of things that could, and really, should have been shown and quite a few questions left unanswered. But still, overall, I am very happy with this - and clearly that is all that matters, lol.
