You don't inherit a ''style ''of bending. You inherit the ''type'' of bending. The style would depend on where you live and who taught you how to bend. The type would be what element you bend.

<p>Not everyone does. But Iroh did. He left his body in the physical world and went to the Spirit World. He was in the Spirit World long enough that his body died. Pretty simple. </p>

Iroh is not alive. He's in the Spirit World.

<p>If Jinora was Iroh, his spirit would be inside her, not in the Spirit World. And the only known person to have two spirits permanently within them is the Avatar. Remember what happened to that one dude after the Aye-Aye Spirit possessed him? He disfigured him. That would happen to Iroh, too. </p>

<p>In ATLA? Most likely because the Fire Nation also tried to imprison benders from the NWT (that's how they had the 80-year-old military uniforms, we can assume). </p>

<p>Not so sure that's correct, Steph. Avatar Roku certainly had no trouble finding teachers. Aang may have been a special case because of the war. </p> </div> <p>Roku was close friends with royalty. </p><p>But I'm thinking of little remote villages in the Earth Kingdom. If the world was so seperated, how do you find a Firebending Master in a place where no one travels to? </p>

<p>It's not contradictory. Feeling guilty because Roku caused the war doesn't justify him telling Aang to kill Zuko. </p>

<p>I think Roku is the worst Avatar. I can't sympathize with or validate any of his actions. </p><p>Aang obviously thought he was not a good guy, since he burns the Fire emblem off of his prayer beads in Part Three of The Promise. Aang basically called Roku out on his crappy advice, which included killing Zuko.  </p>

<p>I don't think they'd lose their power. Maybe they'd lose some amount of control, but not a whole lot. </p>
