Zuko8va, that is not from the actual show, though. I doubt we are meant to think that the letter, if it even exists canonically in-universe, is written in actual English. Looks like it's from the Nickelodeon website or something like that. In this case, I'd say this would be a translation too for our convenience's sake.
I've wondered about these things too. I'd love to know what the elements actually are, for instance. Because they seem to be a part of the nature of the very universe, a part of their fictional "physics" in a way. I know the lion turtles had them first and gave them to the humans, but what about beyond that? The lion turtles are also called "the Ancient One(s)" and seem to predate even humans AND spirits.
@FoxDaryl even though crediting you would be polite, there is no law that states ideas themselves are copyrightable. They're not.

It's not like I'm saying separating Lightning from Firebending or Plant from Waterbending. Both Light and Shadow can be argued as their own Elements. Not quite fitting as Sub Elements to any of the Four. I doubt even if Avatar were to add Light and Shadow they'd start adding more. At least not as separate Elements. <p>The biggest issue I see is that Light and Darkness aren't seen as "Bendable" Elements even though they are Elements. This can easily change. </p><p>So, let me ask you this; Worst case scenario if they were added? </p> </div> <p>BIONICLE added stuff like Plasma, Plantlife, Sonics, Lightning etc. This is why I am wary of this. We do not need another power creep thing like that where you just keep adding and adding and adding. Avatar and its elemental system works because we've established what it is and we keep to those rules. It's hard to expand on that and make it work. You can do it, but not by simply adding more elements. Not in my opinion anyway. Apparently you do not understand reasons, I would have liked Korra to be a lesbian from the beginning but she was not in love with Mako in the first two seasons, later in the last two seasons she began to have an attraction to Asami to finally be his girlfriend at the end of the series, I like Avatar but sometimes I think that Avatar: The Last Airbender is somewhat overrated unlike The Legend of Korra that is undervalued because of the fans who compare and know that both series do not share the same things, in end just stop arguing and understand what I write, see you! </div> <p>You were first to attack though. <p>Not to be rude, but this is a perfect example of why I wish people weren't so assumptious, always jumping the shark and reaching, and that people spend more time comprehending a comment and stance before commenting. Speaking in regards to Hong Shen's comment. Again, not be rude. But it was kind of weird how you got "I didn't like the bisexual and/or lesbian thing" from his comment when he didn't actually say that.

Avatar page Admins It would also be pretty cool if the next avatar series was set in the future. The creators would have much more of a creative license. If the next avatar was in that setting, I think it would be interesting to have he/she fight against not only physical/spiritual problems but global ones as well. <p>Personally, I find it to be a cheap plot device/idea. So no, I don't want there to be a dark Avatar, despite there having been one. He didn't seem to be able to bend all the elements though. Naturally, Vaatu didn't have them But no, I just don't like the idea. In fact, I liked the "spirit of the planet/world" idea much better than the spirit of light and peace incarnated as a human idea, but I didn't mind there being a spirit involved.
