Also, what we see in the show is poison, which means the title is wrong. Poison is absorbed through skin or any other surface on the victim's body, venom is injected with fangs and that sort of thing. What we saw was apsorption, even though forced with bending. If it was injected we'd most likely see some wounds and blood because of ruptures in Korra's skin.
