I honestly don’t and I will never get all the hate towards Katara. And some of the arguments are actually pretty dumb, like “she’s whining about her mother too much”. Dear people, first of all, you never went through Katara’s experience with her mother, she literally saw her dead body at the age of goddamn 8! And secondly, she was still rougly a kid throughout the show’s run, and she got traumatised. It’s something normal for characters to have flaws, that’s what makes them unique, and there’s a huge difference between a trully annoying character and a relatable character. People need to make this difference. Same thing applies to Korra.
I’d like to see the comics animated.

Water and fire. Why? It’s simple.
Fire, because of combustionbending, which is my favorite subbending skill! Also, it is very helpful when you want to set a fire for a grill, or a campfire. You can also use it to light your way in the dark, and if you’re very trained, you can fly like Iron Man :D
Water, because of healing. Healing is crucial to both you and others, because you can help the wounded, or heal yourself when no one else is a round and the only thing you have is a bottle of water.
