<p>Amon is actually my favorite because he was legitimately scary. You didn't understand him or his powers and he seemed an invincible warrior sent by the spirits themselves. He just had this fear factor that no other character possessed in either series. He was well written, dynamic, and relatable. In many ways he was right about the oppression he was fighting against. </p>

As the only airbender aang had he would have to responsible for learnig everything aang new about airbending and even what he did not know. It would eventually be up to Tenzin to train the next avatar and evey future airbender afterwards. That would require a lot of training and time.

<p>Kuvira as also over protective of those she considered to be her people. She wanted what was best for them in her own weird sadistic way. I dont think that this translates to genocide, unless it was a reaction to a threat to her own people. For example a firebbender le rebellion. This could trigger a persecution of all firebenders. But unless there was a trigger I dont think kuvira would turn genocidal. </p>

<p>lol. but HE DOESNT. and i'm not arguing about whether it is dirt or rock. he throws no earth with his head. I just rewatched both scenes from both episodes. in "return to omashu" he makes 2 mounds of earth. and moves another mound. in "the old masters" he pulls some small pieces of earth towards him (relatively slowly I might add) and pries his coffin open. that's it, he never uses his head moves in a fight. probably because he cant do much and that they are impractical. they are difficult to control. and even if he did use the occasional head move, he still couldn't rely on it. he would be nearly useless without limbs, like all benders should be. </p> </div> <p>How does <span style="font-style:italic;"> "</span><span style="font-style:italic;">he pulls some small pieces of earth towards him" </span> <span style="font-style:italic;"> </span>Not qualify as throwing rocks. well my entire point is that limbs are needed to do the majority of bending movies. with many examples from the show. soooooo yeah. </div>Your examples from the show are irrelevant, as you're not offering any proof that someone with <i>prostheses</i> (which Ming-Hua's water arms effectively were) and sufficient skill (which she indubitably <i>had</i>) would not be able to bend effectively. <p>And you're also forgetting something <i>else</i> that was a thing in <i>A:TLA</i>—namely, flipping the bird to ableism.

<p>gonna point out that WWII  was 70 years ago as compared to the 100 years were talking about. If your town had a WWI celebration then I would be impressed. </p>

<p>I don't see it becoming a religous holiday, and honestly 100 years after the end of the 100 years war it proably won't be that big a deal anymore. I mean WW I was 100 years ago and were not crying over the Lusitania anymore. Its been even less time sice WW II and its not like most people celebrate/remember Pearl harbor day. During the next sozins comet firebenders will probably get to test out their enhanced bending for a day and thats about it. I don't think the FN would be so predictable as to launch a major invasion 3 comets in a row. Even if the world has forgotten the 100 years war, governments are sure to be wary over a day that grats the FN so much power. </p>
