Good good
I did not, how’d it go?
@Brick wallace I’m not taking that bait again. I’ll be honest that I fell for it in the article itself cuz when I got to the reference part at the bottom, it made me think that the article was a joke, but that it was also actually coming out and this was made in response to that, but technically, the rickroll failed cuz I got an ad. It slightly hampered my opinion of whoever made this (cuz otherwise it’s brilliant), but whatevs
I knew this was satire as soon as I started reading the synopsis and about how Kuvira “destroyed Sozin’s Comet” by time traveling, but the question that I now have is… DID KUVIRA USE TIMEBENDING TO DO THAT OR WHAT?!
I thought it was an organization and I couldn’t find ANYTHING that fit the mold.
Fair nuff
I was gonna remind you, but then I figured there would be no point in doing it 10 minutes before midnight. Luckily, you didn’t need it.
Fine
Okay, so… what does ‘some rules’ actually mean? Try to look at this from my perspective: If I were to tell you “You’re running this wiki too strictly, why don’t you just ignore some of the less important rules?”, that would be really frustrating for you because I don’t know which rules are more important than others. You do because you have experience. Again, you have a point, but just understand that it’s a little difficult to maintain this balance when we had a player base of about 4 or 5 for over a dozen rounds and then suddenly had a huge influx in which the player base more than doubles. Other than that, we’re probably gonna have to agree to disagree.
Okay, let’s just get this straight:
I agree that we tend to alienate new users by being too steadfast, but at the same time, I don’t imagine it would be much more appealing from an outsider perspective for the game to be poorly organized. Plus, if anyone should be for the notion of keeping things orderly to maintain an engaging and productive community, I’d think it would be you, HoT. I mean, let’s be honest here, this wiki is pretty strict overall, but you only keep it that way because it makes for more rewarding discussions. Still, the level of stringency probably drives some people away. Is the way we run this game really that different from the way you and other mods run the wiki as a whole?
Remember when HoT started commenting on how we were taking the game to seriously/focusing too much on rules?
Imma try to participate some in the coming round. Like I’ve said before, I’ve been kinda busy and kinda burnt out, plus I’ve been feeling self-conscious about doing regulatory stuff. Either way, I’m glad it’s back on track now and I hope we can continue to maintain the balance of fun and structure.
That’s good, keep it up
Back in bidness I see
I’ll leave it to you, @Tibhod. I apologize for the lack of structure these past couple of weeks. I also want to clarify that @Existenceitselfthereincarnation is in no way to blame for any of this. I’ll try to be more proactive. I think I’m just a little burnt out, but that should get better soon.
Her lack of cleanliness probably strengthened her immune system, as such lifestyles often do. Also, she was very physically fit and well-fed in her formative years, being born of an aristocratic family. There are probably other reasons as to why she ended up having a long life, but those are some good ones.
Either way, we’re gonna finish this round before we move on to the next one. @Existenceitself12, I think it’s best to hold off on starting the next round until we get to next Friday. Let’s just focus on getting this one done very soon.
Prolly fine
Does this count as a necropost, @HammerOfThor?
Man, I’ve really let this game go. Sorry, everybody. I’ve been busy with school stuff lately and have also been putting off intervening in this game. I’ve been hesitant to do a lot of regulatory stuff since HoT made those comments about it (if you don’t know what in the world I’m referring to, don’t worry about it). However, some intervention seems pretty justified in this situation. We’re already two days removed from this past Friday (by which time we would have ideally started the next round), so we may just need to skip a week and have Round 52 this coming Friday. It’s either that or we finish this round today, start Round 52 late (Monday I suppose), get it done quickly and get back on schedule with Round 53 this coming Friday. Does that all make sense? I hope it does. It seems pretty straightforward from my perspective, but I know we have a lot of relatively new people here, so lmk if you need clarification, @Existenceitself12 or anyone else.
