They probably said no because they had a similar form of sub bending (try to guess guys) and it would be far too gruesome for a kids show.
The definition of “earth” in Avatar is so loosely defined, deciding whether something is bendable or not is purely subjective.
You know there is a reason colleges and highschools don't allow use of wikipedia?
We’re debating on a literal wiki right now, dude. If you think Wikipedia is too fraudulent to trust, then we can’t trust the information on this wiki either.
I’m taking SSAT practice tests rn can’t argue
So @Zealous Gamer in your opinion, Earthbenders are only able to bend earth-based minerals, correct?
Exactly. Since there isn’t too much information surrounding bones in the Avatar Universe, we have to assume. That’s why opinions do matter in this argument, since there is a shortage of relevant facts.
That’s an opinion, not a fact.
For the second time lmao
Ohhhhh, that’d be so cool
The argument of whether something is “earth based” is purely subjective, so that doesn’t matter in an argument of logic.
Understood. In my opinion, calcium is an “earth” mineral, as it’s the 5th most common mineral in the Earth’s crust, which seems sufficient enough to call it earth based.
How does it have nothing to do with distribution? I’m discussing whether Earthbenders should have this power.
I didn’t have much else to do at the time lol
Nope, I’m not one for writing stories.
So, just to clarify, the limits of earthbending are more dependent on what is thought of as earth or minerals rather than what actually is earth and minerals.
Also, @Lsuiscool as the creator for my bonebending idea, I can distribute it to who I want it to be distributed to. Sound familiar?
Ok, I’m gonna go over this again. Earthebenders can bend stones. Stones are mainly huge clumps of minerals. Earthbenders can also bend crystals, which have an enormous concentration of minerals. If Earthbenders can bend such high concentrations of minerals, it’s highly likely that what they can bend is “earth” as well as minerals.
They can bend non-earth. It’s just that, to my knowledge, there are no high concentrations of non-earth anywhere else other than in bones.
Bones are 65% calcium, which in my opinion is a more than sufficient amount, as the minerals in the metal seemed less than that.
By template page, I mean making a page that starts with “Template:” which allows it to be summoned on a page. I’m asking because I’m not sure how strict this wiki is on templates.
