Four seems like the right number since it encompasses all the elements involved from their home element to the ones the new avatar would need to learn along their journey all the sub skills like lighting and metal bending can be covered from their base elements

Probably not, I assume the colors of fire will follow the heat intensity so red and orange are the gonna he lower on the heat range blue will he hotter and white flames (yes that’s a thing) will probably be as hot as a fire bender could manage

If I couldn’t scrap it I’d basically overhaul it to make it closer to the source material with actual acting and add better effects so that the bending looks legitimately good. The list is beyond endless
