<p>You obviously haven't been through that many franchises if you think that. Avatar characters are EXTREMELY weak in the grand scheme of things, especially compared to a lot of anime franchises. Freaking Yamcha has a good chance of solo-ing the entire Avatar universe. </p>

<p>Don't know why you're splitting hairs on what constitutes "part of the Genocide." The Avatar-who-got-away was known to be the only surviving airbender as of the end of Sozin's lifetime. </p><p>In any case your theory on post-HC airbenders all being descendants of original Air Nomads is exceedingly weak. It's just as easily explained as it being a random lottery. Bumi being a descendant of known Air Nomad has absolutely no significance if we don't know the family tree of any of the other new airbenders. </p><p>Actually, we do know part of one of the new bender's family tree: Opal was the only one of the three non-benders in the Beifong family to get bending. If your theory were true, we should expect <i>at least</i> Baatar Jr. to be an airbender too, but he isn't. So obviously either something <i>in addition</i> to genetics decided it, or genetics wasn't a factor at all. </p><p>Nothing in series precludes the possibility of new airbenders popping up in the Fire Nation or Water Tribes either. Literally the only reason why the ones we saw were from the EK or URN was because <i>that's where these seasons are taking place.</i> </p>

<p>The comic "Relics" explains that the ones who weren't at the Temples during the attack were subsequently lured into traps and killed.  It remains canonical fact that Aang is the only survivor of the original Air Nomads. </p>

No. Toph's seismic sense would largely, if not entirely, useless against a flying energy-being. Add to that the only way to put Vaatu down are Unalaq's spiritbending and/or Avatar hax, and Toph simply cannot win. </p>

<p>From the flashbacks in <i>Zuko Alone </i>and some of the comics, Azula and Zuko were trained by tutors hired by Ozai.  There's nothing indicating that Ozai ever personally had a hand in their training  </p>

<p>The obvious counter to a lavabender is another lavabender.  But barring that, Mako was still able to push back a lava wave with a straight-forward fire blast in "The Terror Within."  Korra did something similar with an air blast in "Venom of the Red Lotus."  Sozin could also leech the heat out of lava to cool it off.  Then there's the fact that lavebending is most effective when used as a wide AOE attack--which is pretty time-consuming in the grand scheme of things.   </p><p>Long story short, lavabending may be one of the more <i>difficult</i> ones to counter, but saying it has <i>no</i>​​​​​​​ counter is just wrong. </p>

<p>This doesn't seem right.  I guess you could compare Avatar State Aang to non-Avatar State Book 1 Aang and then compare Avatar State Aang to non-Avatar State Book 3 Aang, and then say that Book 1 Aang gets more of a benefit from the AS than Book 3 Aang does.  But that doesn't mean that the AS has actually gotten weaker in an absolute sense.  If anything, it just means that non-AS Aang is getting stronger. </p>

<p>They didn't predict anything about Ta Min being female.  All they said was that a union of Sozin's bloodline and Roku's would be powerful.  That didn't say anything about <i>when</i> that union would take place or who would be involved in that union.   </p>

<p>I'm not going to automatically dismiss the idea of a live action remake, but unless there's a serious attempt to do it I'm also not going to have a serious answer. </p>

<p>And what's the likelihood of that happening? Are you actually in the process of interviewing with either of them? Or is this just a vaguely-formed idea of where you'd like to end up in the future without any concrete plan for getting there? Because right now this just seems like a far-fetched pipe dream that will never happen. </p>
