Air temples before Sozin's time would have been the best for a non-bender.
Being wrong for a long time doesn't make you right.
Strangely, we never see Asami glowing when Korra is in the avatar state. A piece of trivia for the "goofs" section, I guess.
Being "Disabled characters who don't let their disability cripple them" is not what makes characters like Toph, Zuko, Teo, the mechanist, combustion man, Dock, Xu, Bushi, Ming-Hua, and Korra great characters. It can't be the reason, because it's a self-contradicting statement - If they're disabled, that means it's not up to them whether they're disabled or not.
Avatar's disabled characters are great characters because:
Their disabilities affect them in realistic ways.
They freely talk about their disabilities, without being wholly defined by them (except for combustion man but only because he doesn't talk at all).
Their disabilities actually make them better at certain things than most abled people (Toph with her earthbending, Zuko with being the firelord, Teo with flying like an airbender, the mechanist with machinery, combustion man with his combustionbending, Dock Xu and Bushi with being multitalented, Ming-Hua with waterbending, and Korra with being the avatar.)
I don't know what y'all are seeing, it's clearly a photo of Hugh Jackman.
I believe the small earth theory explains the lack of injuries.
I relate to Korra more than any ATLA character because I've been through similar trauma and always wished I had someone like Asami to help me through it.
The disabled characters are good representation, but that's not the reason why.
Day of the Colossus and The Last Stand
I'd love to see Katara, Zuko, and Aang all single at the end.
He looks hapa.
@Dreadthorn I don't see where AvatarIrohtea specifies that this is part of a canon avatar book or series.
Aang's character arc is to accept that he has to grow up fast and embrace his role as the avatar. A lot of Book One shows him still just wanting to be a kid.
I've only read The Promise and The Search. So far I'm a lot more impressed with the former.
I'd prefer him as Piandao.
Did you just try to argue that hapa people can't be considered Asian?
In a new story, such as a fanfiction, anything is possible, as the rules are decided by the author.
I like this train of thought. I guess if being the avatar were genetic, Tenzin's beard would glow.
I'd rather see Keanu Reeves as Piandao or Pakku.
Well, "should" is a bit of a loaded word there. There is no art you should have to pay for. The real question is whether it's good idea to break the law in order to avoid paying, and as others have stated before, the policy of this wiki is that piracy is condemned.
