Did zaheer ever explain why he wanted to end the avatar cycle
I think she should have been an equalist from the beginning. That would make more sense of the plotline where she crashes into mako, asks him on a date and turns out to be super rich, and then her father sponsors the fire ferrets. It would be better if that was planned than if it happened by sheer luck
@Nnnnnnnnnnnnnmmmmm he set objects on fire. That can't be compared to jeong jeong's fire wall
@Nnnnnnnnnnnnnmmmmm In the shot I showed, you can see the outlines of objects inside the flames. That much is indisputable. If you are saying they are not flammable, then you have to have a reason for that. If not, then you should assume they are flammable, because the fire continues after mako is no longer nearby
@Thehublord7 In another shot it becomes clear that mako was just burning some flammable stuff on the ground
Creepy touchy?
@Bastion2.0 what do you think of my post in the other thread about how most of korra's villains have dumb motivations & or a disconnect between their stated motivations and their actions
By regular element bending, I meant bending water, earth, fire, air, since that's more applicable to most fights
It doesn't mean her regular element bending is mountain level
Mako caught amon off guard by using an attack that only required his fingers to be in the correct position. We had no reason to believe that amon couldn't have stopped mako from moving his fingers into that position if amon knew about the danger
You can't say the same thing about korra throwing her kick. Amon clearly loses control of korra right before she throws her kick, and korra knew it. That's why she said oh no you dont
I agree with that
Mako barely moves. That's different
What do you call it when korra breaks out of amon's bloodbending without being in AS or being a more powerful waterbender? We have no idea how or why it happened, and it was never established that it was even possible
@Bastion2.0 That is definitely not the only deus ex machina in TLoK
Neither of these masks is scary to me
Aang dying in 100AG is something I never thought about. If an avatar can die and get revived, would a new one appear anyway? That would be an interesting situation. Maybe they could abuse the system and get as many avatars as they want
From a meta perspective, aang didn't have full control of the avatar state until the end of the series, so the writers had more room to make it powerful without giving aang an easy way to deal with every threat. Korra didn't have the same benefit. When she went into the avatar state in S2 to fight unalaq and then just threw regular sized attacks the whole time it made me cringe
@Bastion2.0 Aang's strongest feat was probably flooding the forest at the end of the series. Nothing korra has done compares to the scale of it, except energybending feats that occurred under very specific circumstances
@AvatarPhoenixGrey2 In the same interview he first said they'd either defeat each other or have the worst stalemate every time. Then later he said the 9/10 statement, but it's clear that the 9/10 statement's premise is unfair, since aang doesn't want to fight, and korra does. The first statement doesn't imply anything like that, so you can't see the 2nd statement as a correction of the first, since the circumstances are different, and if you're gonna apply either one to this, really it should be the first
They removed most of the jokes in season 1 already. I wouldn't be surprised
