The main thig was probably PTSD, but I truly believe she suffered a ton of mental health issues while she was dealing with her PTSD. Like a very notable depression.

In my opinion it needs to have some logic on why it boosts their capabilities to an extent never seen before, rather than maybe a storm giving them the ability to idk... fly or move tornadoes... which makes sense to just a powerful and experienced airbender to control.
I'll try to explain better. The moon for waterbenders is a boost.. why? Because the moon's gravitational pull generates something called the tidal force. Fire benders have a boost from sozin's commet and are weakened by an eclipse... why? Because it's clearly hinted/explained with the Sun Warriors and well the energy focus on firebending.
Earthbending makes quite a lot of sense to recieve something special out of tectonic plates, collisions and stuff. Because they are "the base of the earth".
And I'm struggling to figure out some correlation for airbenders and a boost. It's hard, I can't think of anything that would "expand the lore" and have a reasoning behind why airbenders are able to archieve something unimaginable unless "x" thing happens.

Might ask the admins for this one, but this is the discussions part of the Wikia, to discuss stuff about the franchise not roleplaying, there's no rule about it so I'm assuming you wouldn't harm anyone if you do an specific post for roleplaying, and any other roleplaying outside such thread should be avoided. To not disturb others that just want to talk like themselves.
As I said, I'll bring an admin that might tell you the specific approach on this regard. So don't take my words as the definitive saying 👍
Those are pretty clean propositions... we should probably create a new thread to throw new ideas and polish this one we are talking about. And even propose stuff for the airbenders.
Idk like "Factors that would improve earthbenders and airbenders capabilities" or something.
Ohh I like that second thought. Now the question would be... to what extent does one boost their capabilities, and the other.
I mean that's what I thought, it's probably what would make the most sense to me, as a factor to boost earthbender's abilities to some extent. There's things to polish tho, there are tons of places where tectonic collisions can happen, and you can't feel it (but well since we are talking about eathbenders we could imagine that they can). Then.. how often do they happen? would it be an specific collision, or just any?
Antoher thing is what would they be able to do when a collision happens, amplify earthquakes for example. But I feel like that would be too limitant. I do like the idea of this having a link to lavabending in some way...

Okay I feel like diving deep into this idea.
I believe this is based on Waterbender's having the full moon to bloodbend. It's in the "lore" from the start that waterbenders gain strength through the moon (probably linked to the fact that the moon controls the sea levels), and it's also on the lore that Firebenders have their strength based on energy, so it makes sense that with the Sozin Comet they gain a boost and with a solar eclipse they get weakened.
So far so good, it makes sense that if Waterbenders have a boost in power because of a certain factor, Firebenders should as well because of Ying and Yang, balance, and that stuff.
In this case we are talking about earthbending, so if they have a boost airbenders should have another one. So the question I propose is why bone-bending? Bones have minerals, yes, like Calcium or phosphate, but so does the blood and other parts of our human bodies. And I don't think earthbending goes that deep, and personally, I think it would be rather stupid to have earthbending chemistry based.
But, I don't have a better proposition towards what should be earthbenders (and also airbenders) boost's. Perhaps something to do with the tectonic plates... 🤷🏼♂️

Not gonna lie, loved this idea that a user said on the coments of the video:
"It would have been awesome if Mako, you know, the guy who’s had it rough in a city that, by experience, should hate what he is because of his bending, shows Korra the point of view of non-benders and what people in the streets have to go through. Instead of adding the stupid love triangle, why not have there be an episode where Mako shows Korra the city and they find themselves in the harsh part of town. Mako wants to leave but Korra, curious and concerned, goes in to see for herself. She witnesses non-benders being homeless, maybe even a few bender children who have to hid their powers out of fear of discrimination (painting a more complex view on benders and non bender relations) and Mako shares with Korra his experiences as well as how the city actually is. This could be a growing moment for Korra as well as a bonding moment for the two of them. THIS is how they could have utilized Mako for actual character growth rather than making him a punching bag!"
Of course! Tho I might have to remind you that you could use the "polls" category since they are polls, but I also don't see a problem on how you do it. Putting TLOK as the category when it is a quote from TLOK and putting ATLA when it has ATLA characters.
