<p>It would be dangerous for them to betray Azula that is for sure, but I still think the Dai Li would have the upper hand, because they are after all elite soldiers used as a secret police and they are quite many. A good example of their combat prowess would be when a few of them managed to easily defeat Zuko during episode 0220 "The Crossroads of Destiny",  now I am not saying that Zuko was as powerful as Azula at that moment in the series and his battle strategy at that point was horrible, but he is still a very powerful firebender. </p><p>So I would say that the Dai Li did it because they believed they would gain something from it, I mean without the help of the Dai Li, I think it would be quite hard for the Fire Nation to invade Ba Sing Se before Ozai's eventuall defeat at the hands of Aang. </p><p><span style="font-weight:normal;">"<i>You got answer in the episodes just watch it again</i>"</span> </p><p>Well the episode shows us whats happening that is true, but it doesn't tell us anything definitive about the thoughts going through the minds of the Dai Li, that subject is up to interpretation and I suppose that is way this thread was created.  </p>

<p>I agree with you I also think it is fun to analyze things and break them apart, sometimes just to find the faults in it (like cinema sins does). But again just like you I have felt that it is sometimes better to just enjoy something without analysing it to much, because in my own experience you can sometimes ruin the things you like by critically analyzing them to much and in that case I rather skip out on the analyzes in order to be to continue enjoying what I like. </p><p>However, what I specifically meant with my previous post is that, whether or not you choose to compare A:TLA and LoK and decide wich one is the best, there is still a connection between the series and I myself (like MeelosLeaf422) think that the understanding (not necessarily a critical analysis, but just a simple understanding) of this connection can make both series more interesting to watch. </p> <p style="font-weight:normal;margin-top:0.4em;margin-bottom:0.5em;"><span style="font-weight:normal;line-height:26px;">"<i>Agree with a lot of this. <p style="font-weight:normal;">I agree with you that both A:TLA and LoK is good series in their own rights, but it is important to note that both series are a part of the same universe (as you know but hear me out). What I am implying is that Korra, Aang, Wan and a possible new Avatar does have different adventures because they are different persons and the world is constantly changing, but there is also out of universe causes for the differences between the Avatars' stories, which revolve around world building.</p> <p style="font-weight:normal;">An example of this would be the exploring of animals in A:TLA, this is probably not done as much in LoK because it has already been done in A:TLA and that allows Bryke and the writers to explore different topics and themes that haven't been explored before.</p> <p style="font-weight:normal;">So you could compare the different series with making a meal, you start by making a meal with chicken and potatoes, but when you make your next meal you decide to serve the chicken with rice instead because you want a little varation, but both meal are still similar because both contain chicken.</p>

<p style="font-weight:normal;">The water content of a cumulus cloud is actually way less, about 0,5 grams per cubic meter (based on this http://mentalfloss.com/article/49786/how-much-does-cloud-weigh), so if the cloud is 11 cubic meter it would only contain 5,5g or 5,5ml of water which would make Katara's remark about there being little water in her water skin very true. So that means that this cloud doesn't contain less water than it should but is much smaller than the average cloud and I don't think it would be strange to see a very small cloud in a world where people can bend the elements.</p> <p style="font-weight:normal;">Finally, your statement that they should come up with a solution how to bend the water out of air just because they really need to, doesn't really make to me because I think that is the same as saying that any earthbender locked up in a metal prison should be able to learn how to bend metal eventually (eventually meaning a reasonable amount of time).</p>

<p>I agree with you on what crimes Tarrlok and Amon have comitted, however I don't think they are that bad and as you say yourself they were corrupted by their father which makes it even more understandable why they have pursued a criminal life. Furthermore, I would like to point out that no one has actually tried to help them with their mental problems, because no one knew that they were Yakone's sons, so we don't know if they their problems could have been solved, but I think that they could have redeemed their lives if they would have gotten the right help. </p> <p style="line-height:26px;margin-top:0px!important;">"<i>It was simple. <p>Why do you think that there wasn't any redemption as long as both were alive? I mean sure Tarrlok was a corrupt politician and Amon could be considered a terrorist leader which struck fear in the inhabitants of Republic City and he also took away the bending from multiple people, but I don't think that their crimes is really that bad. Have they even killed someone? So with a whole life ahead of them, I certainly think that they would be able to get redemption for their crimes. </p>

<p>It is indeed an interesting thought, I mean many people including me probably forgot that Shyu was a possible firebending teacher for Aang. However Team Avatar is still pretty lucky that Zuko found them because I doubt that Shyu is a good enough firbender to be able to have taught Aang enough about firebending before the comet would have arrived. </p>

<p>When determining which character that is better Azula or Ty Lee, it is important to remember that Azula have recieved a lot more screen time than Ty Lee, which in turn have given Azula's character more time to develop. Of course more screen time doesn't necessarily equal a better character but it helps a lot, kind of like when you make friends. Since the friend you have spent most time with doesn't have to be your best friend, but this friend will most of the time also be your best friend, because that time you spend with your friend allows you to get to know your friend very well, which is an important and fundamental part of all kinds of relationships even those with imaginary characters. </p>

Furthermore we got to know some time during the second season of A:TLA that Azula is younger than Zuko which means that she would be less than 16 years old. </p><p>Anyway, I do agree with you that Azula is one of the most imposing and terrifying characters in the series, but for people that haven't heard the rumors of Azula (I suppose there should be some rumors), like most people in Ba Sing Se, she is a only a 14 year old princess/girl. </p><p>I mean just look at the Dai Li. Before they knew about Azula's capabilities they dragged her to Long Feng without seeming the least bit afraid. However when she later held her speech about the coup of Ba Sing Se, all the Dai Li seemed to show her a lot more respect because they knew what she could do. </p>

<p>Well I guess that her age matters because, when you are 14 years old you usually doesn't have very much experience, knowledge or fighting capabilities. You are however right that Azula despite her age is very intimidating, but for those people that are a little tougher than your average civilian, this intimidation might not shine through immediately. </p><p>As for why the Dai Li betrayed Long Feng, I think that they probably betrayed Long Feng because of the reasons Count Kibbles N Bits brought up. I think this is made pretty clear by the fact that the Dai Li continue to serve Long Feng even after he is imprisoned, which I think is a sign that the Dai Li believe that Long Feng is a more capable leader than the inexperienced king. However when Azula arrives on the scene the Dai Li is slowly convinced that her leadership (note how the Dai Li agent in episode 220 "The Crossroads of Destiny" says that she is both inspirational and intimidating so the Dai Li is more than scared by Azula) is even stronger than Long Feng's. However unlike Count Kibbles N Bits I believe that the Dai Li sided with Azula not just because of self preservation and power, but also because they might have thought that it was the best thing to do for the city of Ba Sing Se and it's people. </p>

<p>8,640,000 registered users, that is a whole lot of users, I mean I knew that this is a big wiki but I had no idea that the Avatar wiki had managed to attract so many users. Nevertheless, I (just as Neo Bahamut) think that most of these users have had very limited activity on this wiki, but the ratio between active and inactive (or with limited activity) users is still surprisingly low. </p><p>As for the future of this wiki, the wiki might very well die out just like many fan bases have done before, however I would like to put faith to the internet. The internet could still be considered a fairly new part of humans' life and it has developed at dazzling speeds, so to determine if things like fan bases will die out in the same manner as they have done before is probably very hard. Anyway we can still hope that the future of this wiki and that of the Avatar fandom in general will be Bright. </p>

<p>Sneaking in to the Fire Nation Capital would be very tricky because of the huge number of troops there. Moreover even if they managed to sneak in to the palace they would still face Ozai on his own turf where he could have lots of hidden traps and a readily supply of troops. Except for this I also assume that even if they defeat Ozai he would still try to launch his airships which would force Team Avatar to hunt for Ozai's airships before they get launched. However Team Avatar especially Sokka and Zuko seem to be very crafty and could probably come up with a good plan. </p><p>Regarding the if they would restore Aang's chakra I agree with you that they would probably not try to do this. </p><p><span style="line-height:26px;">"Why wasn't Azula gonna let the gondola carrying Chit Sang, Hakoda, Suki and their rescuers leave? <p>Well, Zuko did also improve his firebending abilities and his mental strength which, in combination with Azula's breakdown, helped him surpass his sister. </p>

<p>What makes you think that Mai and Zuko won't get back together? Moreover I agree that Suki have come closer to Zuko, but not in a romantic way, I mean she is still in a relationship with Sokka and she doesn't seem unhappy being in that relationship.  </p>

<p>No, at that point I don't think it would make her cry further . I believe that her mental breakdown at that point was so severe that she might not even fully care/understand what happened on places other then her close vicinity, either that or perhaps she realized/felt that if she lost, then everything would go bad and Aang would most likely master the Avatar State. Finally, my last guess is that she wouldn't care about Aang mastering the Avatar State, because it is not nearly as bad as losing an Agni Kai to her brother and a waterbending peasant. </p>

<p>I like Mai, I think that her personality and fighting style was a great addition to Azula's team and it was also interesting to se how her character developed in her relationship with Zuko. </p>

<p>During what point in her demented state are you referring to, the time when she imagined that she spoke to her mother, when she was defeated by Katara or some other time? </p>

<p>Some of the things Iroh said about each nation could be true for other nations as well, but I guess that the traits he mentions is more prominent in their respective nations because of their culture that probably in turn have been affected by the different aspects of the elements the nations bend. </p><p>Anyway I agree with you that the traits from the different nations is prominent in villains from these nations, but then again some of them like the Fire Nation "<span style="color:rgb(0,0,0);font-family:Roboto,arial,sans-serif;line-height:26px;white-space:pre-wrap;"><i>Has Desire and will, drive to achieve what they want" </i></span>is probably something that all the villains have/need. However because of the big emphasis on balance in Avatar, I assume that Bryke have thought of it kind of like Neo Bahamut, that the villains take the ideologies or traits of their nation to the extreme, which causes unbalance. </p>
