</p><p>For a person to 'earthbend' he/she would have to be able to 'metalbend'.. Since 'earth' is a mix of metals and other elements (but lots of metal elements)...
</p><p>For an example, the red or brown hue of the 'earth' is due to the Iron in the earth..

If it is liquid metal, not mud or something like it, the red lotus poison guy and korra and Su already bend pure metal or materials which are blends of metals (since the poison is liquid and it is metal, and because Su bent the liquid out of Korra, i suppose that liquid does not contain Water (if it does, then or Su is also a waterbender, or else, waterbenders can bend liquid metal...).. </p><p>

The "avatar" in the Avatar-world is clearly not a demigod or an "Avatar" on the real meaning of the word (if i remember correctly, "Avatar" means 'Bearer of the Message'(of God).. an Avatar (in the 'real world' meaning) is a manifestation of the supreme reality of God...)...

<p>That amount of liquid metal ((a metal which is liquid at ambient temperature) she removed on this episode) is more than enough to kill a human being. By removing it, anyone would be and feel very better, instantly.

<p>First of all (from the last comments), creating wood things or the summoning of forests was not a concept invented in 'Naruto'..It comes from old classic RPG and literature...
</p><p>For what i remember, the 'element' on the Avatar world have a more easy or 'correct' identification (at least in my opinion) to the elements of the Bon Tradition, Air, Fire, Water, Earth and Space.. As Tenzin (not the Dalai Lama (the current Dalai Lama's first name is also 'Tenzin' XD..) said:

<p>Bloodbending, lightning, lava.. They are just different from the 'usual' (usually different from the innate talents of benders), but not "more dangerous"... From what i have seen, most (almost all) of the earthbending moves would be killers (a hit from it would kill 'on the spot').. Any ball sized rock or condensed mound of earth trown at your direction at those speeds will kill or mutilate a person, or at the very least incapacitate the target... I remember one stone from an episode (when Korra and Tenzin were rescuing the airbenders from the Hou Ting's brainwashing-prison/elite camp (when they are fleeing on the bison)).. that stone, if it had hit Tenzin's head, Tenzin's head would just "be gone on that moment", etc..

If a bender is creative, he can develop "new" ways of bending (such as Azula, in her attempt to be "beautiful" to both her mother and father, making her 'signature' blue flames (the 'blue flames' was the love of Azula, for her mother, etc.. etc..) or, the bender can cleverly articulate the more 'standard' forms of bending to achieve more complex or tactic results (such as King Bumi of Omashu)..

(but he would braggingly tell his servants aftwards, after he perfectly understood the joke))..

He even gave the poet a boon for he not to age while he is in The Library (and, my cousins say that, he really liked that 'Ode to Life'.. so much that for some, i guess 3 or 4 millenia, WanShi tried to declaim (on the 'perfect way' (this bird is very perfectionist about putting to practice the knowledge he acquires..) this ode on his private music hall)... Some time after that he got too fond of humans and human related knowledge, that he even used old sorcery to make a 'Planar Shifting Tower' (a tower that can be used as a material 'tunnel' between physical and spiritual realms..) in order to allow for more humans to esporadically visit his library.. He particularly liked humans that made him riddles..

And he has a cute secretary vixen that i almost made puppies with a long long time ago...(but he always keep her hidden on his recitals and seminars.. :z...)... He is a kind soul with a sarcastic sense of humor.. But he is very protective about his library, as he kind of inherited it from his mother, afterall...
