Korra is without a doubt the worst Avatar ever. I have been reading this thread and it almost seems like non of you actually watched the series. Aang did defeat his enemies he just didn't kill them. But the bad guys didn't ever win and he locked Zhoa away in the spirit mists at the end of the first book. Secondly someone said Korra defeats every enemy in every book. Really what series were you watching? Amon killed by his brother after Korra let him escape, unaloc was defeated but only after genora saved her, and she even lost to Zahir in the Avatar state saved only when all the air benders made the cyclone and sucked him down where he was defeated by the others lol. Korra was weak, she broke the Avatar state and she constantly turned against people she had known her whole life for someone she just met, her character never had any growth. And not to mention she let herself constantly be made a fool of and talked down to in public further damaging the legacy and respect of the Avatars position Aang nor any of the previous Avatars ever let a world leader put them in there place. Roku even put Zosin in his place and that was the nation he was from.

Actually, maybe you weren't watching? Korra did "defeat" Amon by EXPOSING HIM and his hypocrisy, effectively ENDING THE EQUALIST MOVEMENT. Yes, he escaped which she regretted, but she didn't have her other elements and this was her first time airbending so what was she supposed to do? Outswim a waterbender?

Yes, Jinora saved Korra, but that doesn't take away from the fact that before she got the Avatar Spirit ripped out of her by Unalaq which she had no defense against, she had defeated Vaatu, and was going neck and neck with the Dark Avatar. Again I ask though, what was Korra supposed to do against a spiritual attack by the Dark Avatar that she had no preparation for. No one could've taught her what to do because that had never happened before. You act as if the Avatar isn't good if they can't beat every one of their enemies in a fight. Being the Avatar ISN'T solely about being a great fighter. If it was, she'd actually be no diff than Aang who actually never defeated Azula... not once. She beat him every time.

She was poisoned, which you should already know, and had Zaheer on the run the entire fight even with mercury in her body. So yes, the airbenders whom she saved from the Earth Kingdom and helped unite into a nation again helped her out, which somehow makes her a worse avatar?? Nope. So when Aang gets help from his allies it doesn't make him weak but when Korra does the same, she is weak? Hypocritical.

Also, Tenzin is a world leader. Eska and Desna are world leaders. Her father is a world leader. President Wu is a world leader, all of whom would probably speak favorably of Avatar Korra. The Earth Queen was a tyrannical world leader who hated Korra because she did the right thing and saved the airbenders. And we know how things went for her. Just because some president in Republic City doesn't like her because there are vines in his office doesn't mean she damaged the legacy of the Avatars.
