<p>Actually, maybe you weren't watching? Korra did "defeat" Amon by EXPOSING HIM and his hypocrisy, effectively ENDING THE EQUALIST MOVEMENT. Yes, he escaped which she regretted, but she didn't have her other elements and this was her first time airbending so what was she supposed to do? Outswim a waterbender?   </p><p>Yes, Jinora saved Korra, but that doesn't take away from the fact that before she got the Avatar Spirit ripped out of her by Unalaq which she had no defense against, she had defeated Vaatu, and was going neck and neck with the Dark Avatar. Again I ask though, what was Korra supposed to do against a spiritual attack by the Dark Avatar that she had no preparation for. No one could've taught her what to do because that had never happened before. You act as if the Avatar isn't good if they can't beat every one of their enemies in a fight. Being the Avatar ISN'T solely about being a great fighter. If it was, she'd actually be no diff than Aang who actually never defeated Azula... not once. She beat him every time.  </p><p>She was poisoned, which you should already know, and had Zaheer on the run the entire fight even with mercury in her body. So yes, the airbenders whom she saved from the Earth Kingdom and helped unite into a nation again helped her out, which somehow makes her a worse avatar?? Nope. So when Aang gets help from his allies it doesn't make him weak but when Korra does the same, she is weak? Hypocritical.  </p><p>Also, Tenzin is a world leader. Eska and Desna are world leaders. Her father is a world leader. President Wu is a world leader, all of whom would probably speak favorably of Avatar Korra. The Earth Queen was a tyrannical world leader who hated Korra because she did the right thing and saved the airbenders. And we know how things went for her. Just because some president in Republic City doesn't like her because there are vines in his office doesn't mean she damaged the legacy of the Avatars.  </p>

<p>I'm not trying to be rude or anything, but we have to face the facts that we were given, not to mention you didn't give any evidence to it being coincidental. </p>

<p>I find it hard to believe it was coincidence if she was reacting to each and every past life being destroyed, and I also find it hard to believe that you could think it was coincidence when she was finally being knocked unconscious happened when the last past life was destroyed. It just seems impossible. </p>

<p>I really don't care that the past lives are gone, and I don't mean to sound inconsiderate, but this conversation has gone on for too long to be debating about the past lives. The creators wouldn't have taken the past lives only to have them restored some half. We all just have to get over it. That's just the reality of the situation. </p>

<p>While I do believe the writers may have made a mistake, the fact that she could airbend would prove the point that the two were not truly separate. If they were, Korra would not have felt pain as the past lives were being wiped away. So I believe there was possibly a residual bond even after their separation, which could also be the reason Raava remembered Korra and remembered to bond with her before the end of Harmonic Convergence. </p>

<p>The problems I had with Kuvira were after she claimed the Earth Empire, how far would she go because it seemed like she would find problems with the rrest of the world. Then again, when she came clean to Korra, she was only interested in her nation's invulnerability. </p>

<p>I made a fanon article called the <span class="userlinks">United Earth Nation</span> of my envisionment of what Wu was doing if he continued with his plan. </p>

<p>If bending was real, I do think that's how it'd be used </p>

<p>I'd say metal because there's metal almost everywhere, even on people's clothes. Unless you're going to carry around earth with you. And when you bend lava, you're not only endangering your opponents but also yourself, not to say that metal isn't dangerous, but it's just lower on the danger scale. </p>

<p>I d believe earthbenders could bend saltwater to a minimal degree. I mean, the salt is spread out among the water so I guess Guru Patthik was right when he sad=id all the elements were one. It just depends on their usage. </p><p>Waterbending and earthebending are connected by things like mud. </p><p>Earthbenders and firebenders are connected by lava because the creators said you needed fire and earthbending heritage. </p><p>Air and earthbending are connected by dust. </p><p>Water and airbenders are connected by clouds. </p><p>I guess fire and waterbenders are connected by steam. </p><p>Fire and airbenders can both fly to an extent. </p><p>Forgive me, if I stretched the elements to far, but this is my take on Guru Pathik's illusion of separation. </p>

<p>I agree. Because the Earth Kingdom has large land and a large population, it should be in the power of the people. Together, they and the authorities could create compromises on how things would work. </p>

I do think the newly formed state governments would need an unusual amount of power to keep their states from collapsing like Yi almost did.

I agree. But it would be cool to see an evil version of Bolin in a magma castle of cooled molten rock.

<p>I forgot about villains but definitely Hiroshi and Tarlok. The only reason I don't say the Lieutenant is because his change came abruptly. I liked Kuvira's character development was cool. When she started, she had a tough side and a loving side. I truly thought she genuinely loved Bataar Jr. when Season 4 had started. Slowly though, her loving side began to vanish from sight and her tough and aggressive side started showing. When she was presented with an ultimatum though, she let go of the ultimate love she had for Bataar and the origin we had for her was essential in shaping her character. </p>

<p>I'd also say Unavaatu because he can move faster. But he couldn't use his special ability against Kuvira, nor could he knock her down because she's too heavy. </p>

<p>I myself would say in terms of bending abilities, it would fall to Unalaq. Even if Kuvira tried blocking him, his poweful attacks could destroy her earath. Her attacks are quite small compared to Unalaq's but in terms of physical abilities, this lends itself to Kuvira. </p><p>Also, what would win, UnaVaatu big form, or Giant Mecha-Suit </p>

<p>Thanks. I've realized I love seeing how airbenders fight. I can't face problems head on like Toph, and I can only take the offensive for so long unlike firebenders, nor can I redirect the force of some enemies that are stronger than me, so I guess my nimble and acute nature suits me if I was an airbender. I hope that when people evaluate what type of bender they are, it's not based on what you want but what you really are. </p>
