A while ago I wrote my own fan fic of Book 5: Revolution but I stopped due to college and I felt it was too biased. But looking at the three approaches

Biased to self: Many ideas I had were things I would "prefer" to have happened in TLOK to make it more interesting, such as "Vapour bending from Water/Air", Iroh visits the physical world and Zuko goes all over him.

I started getting comments about how certain aspects screw it up, such as the Chi Syncranization changing Opal's bending element to Earth, due to her family herritage, and her refusal to swap it back. Also didn't focus much on Korrasami...

At the same time however I wanted something to happen which would people would critize, as in the show, there were certain actions people didn't like (a lot of which was shipping)

Biased to readers: Essentially fan service and makes it too predictable.

Example: Readers want this to happen, so in the next chapter... that happens. Also when hearing from different readers who's suggestions contradict, its hard to decide

Completely random stuff: Pulling out something completely random is rather difficult as you don't know if it would go through or not. Unlike spongebob, the Avatar series is very complex and not very random

Which approach do you guys think I should take? As I'm on summer break I'm going to retry but make an actual villain, rather than Tenzin going psycho
